Kitute Foundation Steered by the ED, Millitonic Mwendwa Kimanzi, this foundation aims at helping the less fortunate in society and that is without compromise.

Millitonic Mwendwa Kimanzi ,popurlaly known as Kitute was an aspirant in the Kitui East parliamentary seat in the March 4th 2013 General elections.Fortunately or unfortunately , Mr.Kimanzi did not succeed to capture the parliamentary seat but he carried on with his dream of serving the people of Kitui East ,whether within or without parliament.And so ,in May the Kitute Foundation was set up , with an initial fund of Kshs 10 million . to be resourceful to society in every posssible aspect.

Today, I joined the family of Mutemi Mala of Kalusi Village, Voo/Kyamatu Ward, Kitui East, to condole with them following the heartbreaking loss of their three children: Mwazia Mutemi, a Grade 8 pupil; Patricia Kamene, a Grade 10 student; and Angela Mutemi, a Grade 4 pupil.

The children are reported to have consumed maize contaminated with aflatoxin. This tragedy is even more painful considering the challenges families are currently facing in accessing healthcare amid the ongoing nurses’ strike. At such moments, our health facilities need adequate personnel to respond quickly and provide the care that affected families desperately need.

Losing three children from one family is an unimaginable tragedy. I extend my deepest condolences to the Mutemi family, their relatives, friends, teachers and the entire Voo/Kyamatu community. May God give the family strength, comfort and courage during this difficult period, and may the souls of Mwazia, Patricia and Angela rest in eternal peace.

This heartbreaking incident should also remind us of the urgent need for food safety, stronger public health systems and accessible emergency healthcare for every family in our communities.

The enemy doesn’t fight empty people this hard. Sometimes the intensity of the battles around your life is a reminder that there is something in you that threatens the kingdom of darkness. There is a purpose on your life, a destiny ahead of you, and an assignment that cannot be ignored. The resistance may be painful, the betrayal may be disappointing, and the attacks may sometimes make you question yourself, but don’t mistake opposition for failure. Some battles are not evidence that you are losing; they are evidence that you are carrying something valuable.

When your progress attracts resistance, when your name is discussed in rooms you have never entered, when people who once stood with you suddenly turn against you, and when doors seem to close just when you are about to step into a new season, remember that God is still in control. The enemy may try to distract you, discourage you, isolate you, or make you abandon the very purpose God placed in your heart.

But you were not created to surrender because the road became difficult. Stand firm. Pray harder. Keep your heart clean. Keep doing what is right even when others choose wrong. You do not need to fight every battle because some battles belong to God. What is meant for you cannot be destroyed by jealousy, hatred, gossip, betrayal or opposition.

The warfare may be intense, but so is the grace upon your life. The storm may be loud, but God is still greater than the storm. Keep walking. Keep believing. Keep serving. Keep your eyes on God, because what He has ordained for your life cannot be cancelled by the plans of men.

Sometimes the very thing the enemy is trying hardest to destroy is the very thing God intends to use to change your life and impact generations. You are not being fought because you are empty. You are being opposed because there is purpose in you. And when God is with you, no weapon formed against you shall prosper. 🙏🏽

The same person who helped create the problem we are facing today is now presenting himself as the solution. Honestly, it is laughable.

You cannot be part of the decisions, actions and politics that contributed to the situation we are in, then suddenly position yourself as the only person capable of fixing it. The people are not fools, and they have a long memory. They remember what happened, they remember who was where, and they remember the choices that brought us to this point.

We cannot rewrite history simply because the political environment has changed. If we are genuinely interested in healing, unity and moving our people forward, then we must first be honest about what went wrong and who played what role.

Leadership is not about creating a problem, watching people suffer from its consequences, and later returning with loud promises that you alone have the answer. True leadership requires accountability, humility and the courage to admit mistakes.

So before anyone claims to be the solution, let them first answer the difficult questions: Were you part of the problem? What did you do when you had the opportunity to prevent it? What responsibility do you take for where we are today?

Our people deserve leaders who bring solutions, not leaders who contribute to problems and later rebrand themselves as saviours.

We need genuine reconciliation, accountability and a new direction not political amnesia. The people are watching, and they will ultimately judge us by our actions, not by the narratives we create about ourselves.

I have listened to different political leaders across the country engaging in divisive rhetoric, spreading hatred, and attacking leaders with whom they disagree politically. This trend is dangerous to our democracy and threatens the unity of our nation.

As leaders, we have a responsibility to promote peace, tolerance, and respectful political engagement. Leadership should be about offering solutions to the challenges facing wananchi, not inciting hostility or creating divisions among Kenyans.

I commend H.E. Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka for consistently advocating for the protection of the Constitution, the rule of law, democratic freedoms, and the rights of all citizens. His public statements have repeatedly emphasized constitutionalism, peaceful political participation, and respect for human rights.

The Linda Mwananchi movement, opposition leaders, and all political actors must be allowed to express their views freely within the confines of the law. Equally, every leader must exercise responsibility and avoid language that fuels hatred, violence, or intolerance.

Kenya belongs to all of us. Our politics should unite rather than divide, build rather than destroy, and inspire hope rather than fear. Let us uphold the Constitution, respect one another, and focus on addressing the real concerns of wananchi.

Peace, unity, and constitutional democracy must always come first.

No one should be hurt, injured, or lose their life for political gains. No political ambition is worth the blood of our young people.

It is time to stop mobilising our youth against one another for selfish political interests. Our young people are not political weapons. They are the future of Kitui East, and they deserve opportunities, education, dignity and a peaceful environment in which to build their lives.

Let us reject the politics of division, hatred and regionalism. There is no “upper” or “lower” Kitui East. There is only one Kitui East, and we all belong to it.

From Koi in Endau/Malalani Ward, to Kyanika in Nzambani Ward; from the slopes of Imuuma in Voo/Kyamatu Ward, to the hills of Yoonye in Mutitu/Kaliku; from Makongo in Sombe/Mwitika Ward to Kameembe and Mbangulo in Chuluni Ward we are one people, one constituency and one destiny.

Our differences should never become reasons to hate or fight one another. Political competition must be about ideas, development, leadership and service not violence, intimidation or the mobilisation of our youth against their brothers and sisters.

To every political leader: let us compete without destroying the community we seek to lead. Let us disagree without becoming enemies. Let us campaign without turning our people against each other.

Kitui East does not need political wars. It needs unity, development, justice, opportunity and responsible leadership.

The politics of selfishness, division and regionalism must come to an end.

Our people must live. Our youth must have a future. Kitui East must remain one.
