We have noted statements made by Hon. Ni**od Mbai, the MP for Kitui East, alleging that former Kitui East MP Hon. Kiema Kilonzo and Wiper Party Leader H.E. Kalonzo Musyoka met with Chinese nationals to sell coal in Sombe and Mutitu.
We wish to state categorically and unequivocally that these claims are false. H.E. Kalonzo Musyoka and Hon. Kiema Kilonzo have never held such meetings and have never been involved in any coal business in Sombe, Mutitu, or anywhere else.
Over time, Hon. Ni**od Mbai has deliberately divided Kitui East, creating unnecessary conflict between Lower Kitui East and Upper Kitui East. This divisive rhetoric has separated our people, weakened unity, fueled tension, and caused avoidable confrontations.
We have also heard you repeatedly speak in the language of violence, as you always do. We quote your words: “Mukoona Kiema kuu mediani ate sati.” Let it be stated authoritatively and without ambiguity that Hon. Kiema Kilonzo is not your equal. Such reckless and violent utterances are unacceptable and have no place in leadership. Your persistent talk of violence is merely another false narrative, intended to intimidate, mislead, and distract the people of Kitui East.
I strongly believe that the same false narratives and politics of division are also being used to mislead and manipulate electoral processes—confusing voters and undermining fairness among presiding officers and their deputies. We both know this has been the only weapon you have relied on, and I promise that I will expose it soon.
We also note, with serious concern, that you never speak about the Kitui East CDF funds. Instead of addressing issues of accountability, transparency, and how these public resources are benefiting the people of Kitui East, you choose propaganda, lies, and political theatrics. The people deserve clear answers on the management and use of their CDF funds—not endless distractions.
The people of Kitui East deserve leaders who speak the truth, promote unity, and respect the electorate. We urge Hon. Ni**od Mbai to stop spreading lies and engaging in divisive politics and instead focus on serving all the people of Kitui East equally.
In 2022, you claimed that Somalis had paid me to bring their camels to Kitui East. You now present yet another false narrative. The only reason you referred to the event as a “bursary lunch” was to make that single statement before returning to Parkside Villa and later to Kitengela, Kajiado County.
It is high time your mental fitness for leadership is questioned. You cannot deceive everyone all the time. Your time is up. It does not matter who sends you to Kitengela in Kajiado County—you will ultimately return to Kajiado County.
