The Board is composed of seven people. The composition is: * Managing Director, Insurance Company * Security sec Kwetu Home of Peace is a rehabilitation centre for street boys. Our goal is to be a “half-way-house” for the street child, a “bridge” between the street and a more secure and hopeful future with their families. We believe that the street children have the potential to become pr
oductive members of our society, but they need our support. We take up to 76 boys between 8 and 14 years off the streets into our home for a temporary rehabilitation period of two years. During that time we prepare the boys and parents or guardians for the time they will be reunited. Kwetu is working together with the families and supports them to be a basic unit of care. Spiritual nourishment is emphasized since it is essential for the boys’ rehabilitation. We want to assist the boys to be integrated into everyday life and to develop a sense of responsibility and discipline – which is important for the social, emotional and physical development. Additionally we give the boys an opportunity for self development through technical training and schooling. After reunion we do follow-ups for two years to ensure the boy is stable.
