Yaaani jana was such a beautiful and fulfilling day for me💃💃. Through Wanjiku Gitonga Foundation I had an incredible opportunity to retreat and go back to my roots😊! My formative stages school! The school that gave me an idea of who and what I am- Primary School which was my home for 8 years🥳😍...
This day was beautiful 😍! Very encouraging ❤️. So many memories that brought tears 😢 😪 seeing the far I have come witnessing the faithfulness of our God😇😭🧡..
I tell you things have changed uweeeeeh🤔! Ile shule tulikuwa tunajaa kila mahali darasa moja tu say class 4, saa hii has a handful of pupils from grade 4-8🫠! What happened? Kwani watoto walienda wapi siku hizi🤗?
Growing up this school was known for masomo, sports and Athletics where I was a net ball player😄💯💚⛹️♂️🤼♀️🤾♀️. I would like to see us go back there the reason we gifted the football team with a full gear as a way of encouraging them to hit the ground running 🏃♂️ 🏃♀️ .
The girls were definitely not left empty handed as the foundation had it's support for the girl child👗🎈
Anyway having been involved in the planning together with my entire team, I was honored to plan and attend the empowerment program aimed at encouraging pupils to focus on masomo, uphold discipline and develop a sense of community❣️💜. The program was designed to equip students with the skills and mindset needed to become proactive in their studies and being responsible pupils and members of the community .
The day was a blend of interactive sessions, motivational speeches, sexual health talk from our resident Healthcare provider as well games activities.
My prayer is the day was a transformative experience for the pupils, teachers and parents.
