The Murang'a Youth Bunge County Forum CBO is a youth-owned, youth-led, youth-managed youth network that advocates for positive youth development through meaningful youth engagement in all community processes. The over 500-strong affiliate youth groups lead grassroots community service projects and development initiatives in the peri-urbane county of Murang'a in Kenya. Encouraging and supporting yo

uth to form registered self-help groups (youth bunges) through which they can associate and serve their communities.

2. Build the capacities of the youth bunge membership through knowledge sharing so as to empower them to exercise raised youth voice as well as to allow them build their their civic leadership skills.

3. Empower youth economically through community financial literacy programs, business management training as well as continued resource mobilization through the Murang'a County Bunge Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Ltd which offers affordable credit to our members.

4. Championing for the inclusion of marginalized groups within society, especially in striving for gender mainstreaming in all community processes. The Youth Network works with various international non-governmental organizations in leading community owned projects especially around positive youth development, governance and inclusion, agriculture, basic-education, environment, energy and climate within Murang'a County. All our projects leverage the ingenuity, focus and zeal of rural youth who continue to volunteer at the grassroots. The Murang'a Youth Bunge County Forum CBO is affiliated to the National Youth Bunge Association (Kenya) which is the national caucus for like county forums in Kenya.

The REVEAL! Comics Conversations EA festival closed on Saturday 22nd March 2025 with the launch of the Magic of The Sun/ La Magie du Soleil/ Muujiza Wa Jua comic book which features stories by comic artists Nancy Cherwon, Gloria Muthoka, Salim Busuru, Felistas Thairu, and Jackson Konyango.
The educational comic is a project by REVEAL! Comics ConversationsEA in partnership with the Embassy of France in Kenya.

The Murang'a Youth Bunges County Forum CBO participated in the REVEAL! Comic Arts Festival 2025 where the theme is "Comics in Education- Adding fun to teaching and learning". Participants engaged in rich discourse that scoped the intersection of Comic Art and Education,

The event (14th- 21st March 2025) featured presentations, panel discussions, group activities, comic art sessions, as well as a keynote address by Amb. Pedro Leon Cortez Ruiz, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to Kenya who reflected on the importance of enhanced south-south relations and the lessons for Africa from the history of the comic industry in (south) America.

Interactive sessions on the design of Manga for STEM and the development of comic stories for learning kept participants engaged during the event. Participants gained knowledge on the application of comics to enhance literacy and creativity among young people; planning, writing, designing, and publishing original comic books.

REVEAL! Comic Arts Festival 2025 closes this weekend with a comic book launch.
