Building the foundation for responsible young men
Day One – Identity & Brotherhood (14th December)
The camp opened by creating a safe and supportive space where boys could speak honestly about who they are. Through guided sessions on self-awareness and emotional understanding, they shared their strengths and struggles, learned healthy ways to express emotions, and slowly built trust and brotherhood. Boys who arrived quiet and unsure began to open up, connect, and find their voice.
Day Two – Respect, Values & Responsibility (15th December)
On the second day, conversations deepened. Boys reflected on respect for women and girls, family relationships, positive masculinity, discipline, self-control, and making choices guided by strong values.
A powerful and memorable session was led by Alfred Anjere, Director of Box Girls International and former coach of world boxing champion Conjestina Achieng, together with the Hills and Valley Band Team. Through honest conversation, storytelling, and music, the boys were challenged to rethink what respect truly means — especially in their relationships with their mothers, sisters, and the women around them. The atmosphere was reflective, emotional, and deeply engaging.
These early days were not about instruction alone, but about reflection and inner growth. They marked the beginning of a shift — boys becoming more aware, more confident, and more intentional about the men they are becoming
