In partnership with Aga Khan Academy mombasa for the menstruators team, we conducted a theater and performance arts activity at tononoka social Hall mombasa.
We involved community members, other partners and stake holders as well as Aga khan academy students to celebrate the women, participants used arts to pass messages addressing GBV and menstrual hygiene and support for the women.

SCDO hosted three Aga khan Foundation staff at Strategic Community Development 's office. The meeting focused on creating partnership between SCDO and Aga Khan Foundation kenya who are interested in patnering with SCDO by involving their students in some of our activities to enable the students gains skills and knowledge under various projects and activities such as peer to peer counseling, menstrual hygiene and mental health, urban smart farming and other impactful activities to create resilient students who are independent and all round.Together, we look forward to creating functional initiatives that uplift and protect our children and the community.

SCDO joins the world in celebrating International Day of the Girl Child,At Strategic Community Development Organisation, we stand for equal opportunities, education, protection, and empowerment for every girl.Through our programs, we continue to create safe spaces, raise awareness on girls’ rights, and support all girls to stay in school and dream big. SCDO convened different stakeholders under the tumaini mpya project under Jasiri program to reflect on the efforts achieved by the project and have an incite on ways to make the project better, participants shared wins from the Jasiri Project. Real success stories of participants who turned pain into power. The Stakeholders also pledged to step up, help reach more GBV participants, and be true brothers’ & sisters’ keepers as we keep pushing to address GBV.

Today SCDO celebrates a great milestone in our climate change efforts. In collaboration with Kenya Forest Services we have been *allocated a 15ha mangrove* restoration land where together with the community we will endeavour to plant mangroves and make a positive impact to the environment. This opportunity will advance our agenda towards economic empowerment of women and youth as well as advance the rights of children to a clean and healthy environment
