CIPEโ€“KNCCI Networking Dinner

The Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) East Africa hosted a networking dinner with KNCCI Chamber President, Dr. Erick Rutto, KNCCI Mombasa Chapter Chairman, Mr. Abud Jamal Said and KNCCI County Leadership to strengthen collaboration in private sector development and business advocacy.

The engagement focused on expanding support for MSMEs through capacity building, strengthening county chambers, advancing policy advocacy and leveraging KNCCI's nationwide network to deliver impactful business development programmes across Kenya.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of CIPE and KNCCI to fostering a stronger, more competitive private sector through strategic partnerships, institutional capacity building and evidence-based advocacy.

The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) held a successful courtesy meeting with the Managing Director of the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), Captain William Ruto, at his office.

The Chamber has maintained a long-standing and productive relationship with the Authority. The meeting brought together KNCCI representatives from the Coast Region, led by the Regional Chairperson to discuss areas of mutual interest aimed at strengthening trade, investment and economic growth within the region.

Present at the meeting were KNCCI Coast Regional Director, Mr. Shakir Swaleh, KNCCI Kwale County Chairman, Mr. Abubakar Banzi, and other members of the KNCCI delegation.

Captain Ruto appreciated the important role played by KNCCI in advancing the interests of the private sector and reaffirmed KPA's commitment to supporting the Chamber through strategic partnerships and collaborative initiatives that will enhance trade, investment, port efficiency and regional development.

A key highlight of the event was the official launch of the KNCCI Mombasa Strategic Plan 2026โ€“2029, a roadmap that will guide the Chamber in strengthening private sector advocacy, enhancing member value, fostering strategic partnerships and driving sustainable economic growth.

As the sun set on our 2nd KNCCI Mombasa Golf Tournament, the Award Dinner provided a fitting celebration of a day filled with competition, networking and meaningful connections.
