We are a vibrant and dynamic membership-based organization, founded in 2011 to empower youth and women in Kenya. Our vision is to create a healthy society where every youthful voice counts. At Stretchers Youth Organization, we believe in the power of capacity building, advocacy, and information sharing to promote good governance, gender equality, and health rights. We work tirelessly in the coasta

l counties of Kenya and have a partial presence in Nairobi, Kisumu, and Siaya counties as well. Our mission is to enhance and promote a healthy, equal, just, and inclusive environment for youths through capacity building, advocacy, and information sharing for sustainable development. We strive to achieve this by empowering youth and women through education, training, and mentorship. Our motto is "Building Youth and Women Capacities" because we believe in equipping young people with the skills and knowledge they need to become influential leaders and agents of change in their communities. Every peaceful community begins with a conversation. 🕊️

Recently, Stretchers Youth Organization, with the support of the Kenya Community Development Foundation (KCDF), and in partnership with the Ministry of Interior and National Administration – Mombasa County and the Mombasa County Boda Boda Association, brought the Ride for Peace 2027 campaign to Mtongwe, Likoni Sub-County for the third Peace and Security Town Hall Meeting.

What made this gathering memorable was not just the number of participants, but the meaningful conversations that took place. Boda boda leaders, security actors, women leaders, youth, religious leaders, and community members came together with one shared goal: to strengthen trust, deepen collaboration, and build lasting peace and security across Likoni and Mombasa County.

The dialogue focused on practical solutions for preventing conflict, countering misinformation and hate speech, promoting road and election safety, and strengthening early warning and early response mechanisms. It was a powerful reminder that when communities and security agencies work together, peace is no longer just an aspiration. It becomes a shared responsibility and a lived reality.

The journey to peaceful, secure, and inclusive elections continues, one community at a time.

Excited to have attended the preparatory meeting yesterday, hosted by the Mombasa County Government through the Department of Youth, Creative Economy, and Culture.

Held at the historic Tononoka Social Hall, this strategic session brought together key county leaders and youth champions to plan the main celebrations happening on August 12th.

The forum focused on aligning impactful pre-activities designed to build momentum, drive youth engagement, and showcase the power of the creative economy in Mombasa.

We were honored to have key county leadership steering the dialogue, including CECM Jonathan Wepukhulu and CCO Goshy Alli from the Youth and Gender Sector (YGS), alongside Sameer Hashim, Fatma Siasa, and Patrick Gathogo from YGS.

The collaborative session also featured vital insights from youth advocates and community leaders, including Stephen Msechu (MRF), Antigoals Ray (MYC), Zainab Maganga (YEPI), Jeilan Mohdhar (Morganics), and Collins Mangicho.

The vibrant network of partners was well represented by Cynthia Keysha (Youngtaks Society), Aidah Makori (Baus Taka), Grace Irungu, Alfred Sigo (PYN), Linda Geno (Ajira Digital), Vivian Atieno (WRAP CBO), Linet (YSW), Salome (SEYA), Ahmed Alamin (Serikali Mitaani), and Omar from Swahilipot Hub.
