PWANI Transgender Initiative pwani transgenders* initiative works to empower and create awareness to ITGNC individuals and to mainstream society on acceptance and inclusion.

PTI was formed in 2012 but became more visible and vocal in 2017. We work to empower transgender, gender non-conforming, Inters*x persons and transgender s*x workers on their rights and offer psychosocial support to each other through support groups and one on one talks. Our Mission is to empower transgenders* community through self awareness and in return sensitize the larger community on existen

ce and needs of transgenders*. Our Vission is to have a self empowered transgenders community that has space in the mainstream society.
