The YEHU Welfare Association AGM brought together partners and stakeholders to reflect on a journey shaped by growth, vision, and collaboration.

Yehu Impact Limited (formerly Yehu Microfinance Limited) started as a livelihood program of CHOICE Humanitarian over 25 years ago, laying the foundation for the impact and growth celebrated today.

As a long-standing partner, CHOICE Kenya was honored to join the discussions and reflections that highlighted YEHU’s evolution over the years and the strength that comes from continued partnership.

It was a reminder that lasting impact grows through shared commitment, trust, and collaboration over time.

Tree planting is an investment in healthier communities, a stronger climate, and a more sustainable future.

Today, as we mark World Environment Day under the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”, CHOICE Kenya is proud to join fellow partners MCODO CBO, Green World, and YEHU Impact Limited, at Mwache Forest to plant 4,000 terrestrial trees.

Each tree planted represents a shared commitment to restoring ecosystems, protecting biodiversity, and creating a greener future for generations to come.

Sustainable development is built through people. When individuals are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to lead, they become catalysts for change within their families and communities, creating progress that can be sustained for generations.

CHOICE Kenya works alongside communities to strengthen local leadership, foster collaboration, and create growth opportunities. Investing in people, building local capacity, and supporting community-led solutions creates sustainable impact that continues for generations.

Periods are a natural part of life, yet stigma and misinformation continue to hold many people back.

This Menstrual Hygiene Day, CHOICE Kenya joined hands with development partners at Ng’onzini Comprehensive School to create space for open and honest conversations. Through separate sessions for girls, boys, women, and men, we explored the importance of menstrual health, dignity, support, and shared responsibility.

The day brought together development and community stakeholders to celebrate the Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026. The highlight was conversations and distribution of dignity kits to all learners, helping ensure that no learner is left behind because of their period.

Creating a period-friendly world starts with knowledge, understanding, and collective action. 💙

At CHOICE Kenya, our Days for Girls sessions go beyond conversations, they create safe, empowering spaces where girls can learn, share, and speak openly about menstruation without fear or shame. Together with communities, we engage, educate, and encourage learners to embrace menstrual health with confidence, dignity, and pride.

These sessions are strengthened through the distribution of menstrual and sanitation products, ensuring that awareness is matched with practical support and access.

Join us as we break the silence, challenge stigma, and build a period-friendly world where every girl is informed, prepared, supported, and empowered to thrive.

At Mnyenzeni Senior School, meaningful conversations about menstrual health and proper disposal practices are creating safer, more informed environments for girls.

Through the Adult Continuous Learning program, implemented in partnership with MCODO CBO, community members are developing clothing and textile skills that will support the future production of reusable sanitary kits for our Days for Girls sessions.

Together, we are working to ensure that more girls can access safe, affordable, and sustainable menstrual products thus empowering them to manage their periods with dignity and confidence.

This Menstrual Hygiene Day, we celebrate community-led solutions that promote dignity, health, and equal opportunities for every girl.

Menstrual health is a shared responsibility that begins at home and extends into our communities.

When parents are informed and involved, girls grow up more easily navigating their menstrual journey. We encourage fathers to be part of conversations at home to shape how menstruation is understood, received, and supported within families and beyond.

Every household can help build a more informed and inclusive environment for girls, ensuring we live in a .
