Coast Interfaith Council of Clerics Trust held a productive engagement with the Interim CPS Coordinator on 3rd June 2026. The meeting focused on continuity, strategic direction, shared vision for the future, collaboration and partnership between CICC-Trust and Agiamondo - Personal und Beratung für internationale Zusammenarbeit

We reviewed progress achieved thus far, evaluated ongoing initiatives, and together identified key priority areas moving forward. The discussion reaffirmed our commitment to collaboration, partnership, impact, and sustainable growth within the consortium framework.

We appreciate the opportunity and look forward to ongoing engagement in the implementation of peacebuilding initiatives that align with our established priorities.

On 19th May 2026, Coast Interfaith Council of Clerics Trust conducted a Civic Engagement Forum Training for religious leaders from Kwale County under the Peace Empowerment and Resilience for Religious Leaders (PEARL) Project supported by missio.

The forum brought together participants for practical and interactive discussions on civic rights and responsibilities, peaceful electoral participation, and social cohesion.

Through group discussions and hands-on engagement sessions, the training empowered religious leaders to strengthen peacebuilding efforts, promote unity, and encourage active civic participation within their communities.

Day 1 Highlights

CICC Trust, in partnership with CIRDE - Commission for Interreligious Dialogue & Ecumenism, Kenya through KCCB, joined religious, women and youth leaders Tudor Pastoral Centre for a training on Strengthening Interfaith and Ecumenical Dialogue for Peaceful Co-existence in the Pre-Election Period.

The initiative aims to promote unity, dialogue, and peaceful co-existence ahead of the election period.

Participants engaged in meaningful discussions on the role of faith leaders and communities in fostering harmony, preventing conflict, and encouraging peaceful engagement during the pre-election period.

Looking forward to Day 2 as we continue learning, sharing, and strengthening partnerships for peace and social cohesion.

On 6th and 7th May 2026, the Coast Interfaith Council of Clerics (CICC) conducted a Leadership, Accountability & Governance Training in Kwale County under the Peace Empowerment and Resilience for Religious Leaders (PEARL) Project supported by missio.

The two-day training strengthened the capacity of religious leaders to effectively engage in governance processes, promote accountability, advocate for responsible leadership, and actively participate in monitoring service delivery at both county and national levels.

The training equipped participants with practical skills in leadership, advocacy, governance, and accountability to better serve their communities and contribute to peacebuilding initiatives.
