At **ITC Foundation**, conservation means protecting wildlife, restoring ecosystems and empowering communities to become long-term custodians of their natural heritage.
Through strategic partnerships with government institutions, community conservancies and environmental initiatives, we are strengthening frontline conservation and expanding opportunities for meaningful community participation.
Our conservation work focuses on:
🐘 **Training and equipping community conservation rangers** with practical skills in wildlife protection, leadership, first aid, field communication, patrol operations and human–wildlife conflict response.
🦏 **Protecting threatened wildlife species** through improved community surveillance, environmental reporting and peaceful coexistence between people and wildlife.
🌳 **Restoring forests and degraded ecosystems** through the **Adopt a Forest Programme**, environmental education and community-led climate action.
🧒🏾 **Inspiring young conservation leaders** through the **Junior Rangers Programme**, introducing children and young people to wildlife protection, environmental responsibility and climate awareness.
🤝 **Promoting conservation-based livelihoods** that allow communities living near forests and wildlife areas to benefit economically while safeguarding natural resources.
Our ranger training initiatives have strengthened the knowledge, identity, coordination and operational readiness of conservation scouts serving partner conservancies in some of Kenya’s most fragile landscapes.
