NO MORE MARGINALIZATION IN NORTH EASTERN KENYA, UNDER WILLIAM RUTO

THE previous regimes of Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta perpetuated historical neglect in Kenya’s North Eastern region. Despite national growth, the area lagged in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and security investment. Persistent underdevelopment, limited state presence, and heavy-handed security operations reinforced perceptions of exclusion.

These patterns entrenched economic deprivation and deepened regional inequalities, leaving communities marginalized from mainstream national progress and decision-making processes.

H.E President William Samoei Ruto is addressing marginalization in North Eastern by investing in roads, affordable housing, and markets, while abolishing the humiliating vetting process to promote inclusion, dignity, and equal economic opportunity.

TRUE leadership is revealed in moments of crisis, when decisions must balance urgency with the well-being of citizens. Amid the Middle East conflict that triggered a sharp rise in global fuel prices, H.E President William Samoei Ruto has demonstrated decisive and people-centered leadership.

By reducing VAT on fuel, he has moved swiftly as a leader to cushion consumers from economic strain. Such actions reflect foresight, responsiveness, and commitment, proving that effective leadership is not just about authority, but about guiding a nation through uncertainty with practical solutions.

PRESIDENT RUTO SUCCEEDS IN 3 YEARS WHERE UHURU FAILED MISERABLY IN 10 YEARS. OPEN YOUR EYES KENYANS.

PRESIDENT Uhuru Kenyatta faltered over a decade, fearing making unpopular decisions which were necessary to make things done right. Bold and decisive President William Samoei Ruto has made notable strides within just three years. Under the Big Four Agenda, Uhuru pledged to deliver affordable and dignified housing. Yet this goal required the introduction of a housing levy, a politically sensitive reform he ultimately hesitated to implement fearing noise from his own people. He failed.

He also promised universal healthcare, a commitment that could not be realised without fundamentally restructuring the NHIF. However, deeply entrenched interests within his own political orbit resisted these reforms. As a result, the country witnessed fragmented health initiatives, such as Linda Mama, and the infamous procurement of thousands of mobile clinic containers that drained billions of shillings and now lie abandoned. He failed.

In contrast, President Ruto confronted these systemic weaknesses head-on. By dissolving the compromised NHIF and establishing the Social Health Authority (SHA), he has set Kenya on a path toward a more equitable and internationally recognised healthcare system.

Uhuru also struggled to stabilise maize flour and fuel prices, relying on consumption subsidies that channelled taxpayer funds directly to suppliers. Yet despite these costly interventions, maize flour still sold at around KSh 230 and petrol at KSh 210 per litre. He failed. Ruto instead shifted from consumption subsidies to production-focused support, an approach that has yielded tangible results. Some maize flour brands now retail as low as Ksh 110, and fuel prices have stabilised without any subsidies at all.

Uhuru killed Galana-Kulalu, having been overpowered by NIB and maize importer cartels. Under President Ruto, Galana-Kulalu is now yielding results. Uhuru promised to build sports infrastructure. He never even fenced a single pitch. He failed. Under President Ruto, iconic Talanta stadium, and others are taking shape all over the country.

Meanwhile, the Kenyan shilling has held firm, inflation has eased, and Kenya’s economy ranks among the strongest performers on the continent, all within three years. One can only imagine where the country could be in a decade if this trajectory is sustained. Kenya stands to advance significantly, and its citizens are poised to benefit from this transformation.

May God bless President William Ruto Sometimes to progress, you don't have to make popular decisions, but right decisions that can bring desired change. Those who previously failed should refrain from political obstruction and allow progress to continue.

THE TSEIKURU REALITY CHECK: A SHAME TO STEPHEN KALONZO MUSYOKA.

THE road to Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka’s palatial home in Tseikuru remains dusty and forgotten. Decades in power, as MP, minister, and even Vice President, yet the people of Tseikuru have nothing tangible to show for his long stay at the top.

Kalonzo, a son of Tseikuru, could not even tarmac 30 kilometers of road for his own people. I once visited the so-called Tseikuru Airstrip during his vice presidency. At that time, it was dusty, rugged, and deserted. I saw only goats strolling across it. That image said it all. Kalonzo has no capacity, to even transform Kitui County.

But change is finally coming. Under President William Samoei Ruto , the people of Tseikuru will, for the first time since independence, witness a proper bitumen-standard road. Real leadership delivers where rhetoric has failed.

KENYANS SHOULD ASK UHURU KENYATTA THE HARD QUESTIONS:

KENYANS should ask Uhuru Kenyatta to explain the unresolved corruption scandals that dogged his presidency (2013–2022).
Or have we forgotten, forgiven him and moved on? Uhuru and the Jubilee Party brought the country to its knees. The consequences are still being felt upto now. Here are some of the unsolved scandals that rocked former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime:

1. Eurobond Scandal (2014–2015)

Kenya floated a $2 billion Eurobond in 2014 to finance development projects. Over KSh 100 billion, could not be properly accounted for.

2. National Youth Service (NYS) Scandals

NYS I (2015):

Roughly KSh 791 million was stolen through fraudulent procurement deals.

NYS II (2018):

Over KSh 9 billion allegedly lost in a wider procurement scam.

3. Afya House / Ministry of Health Scandal (2016)

Misappropriation of KSh 5 billion meant for free maternity services, HIV programs.

4. Kenya Power & KPLC Procurement Irregularities (2018)

5. Galana–Kulalu Irrigation Project (2014–2020)

Despite billions allocated, less than 5,000 acres were successfully irrigated. It became a "white elephant", until it was resuscitated by the current administration.

6. Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) Cost Overruns (2014–2017)

Kckbacks, opaque procurement with Chinese contractors, and unsustainable debt terms, that's still tormenting Kenya even today.

7. COVID-19 Funds Scandal (“COVID Millionaires”) (2020)

Misappropriating KSh 7.8 billion by KEMSA in emergency funds meant for PPE and medical supplies.

8. Laptop Project for Schools (2013–2017)

Billions spent on tenders, pilot programs, and feasibility studies, but implementation lagged and was scaled down to tablets with limited success.

9. Fuel Subsidy & Oil Importation Irregularities (2021–2022).
Opaque payments and inflated claims by oil marketers.

10. Huduma number scandal (2021)

15 billion lost in a white elephant project declared illegal by the courts in 2021. Kenyans are still holding these useless huduma cards as scandal sourvenire today.

Or perhaps it is time we opened a formal inquiry on his possible involvement, omissions and commissions related to the above matters.

The Pandora papers must not be forgotten.

THIE is not Ethiopia or South Africa, it is Kenya. The Mwache Multi-Purpose Dam in Kwale, a Vision 2030 flagship, stands 47% complete. Launched by President William Ruto in April 2023, the Sh20 billion project targets commissioning in 2026 and full completion in 2027.

Rising 87.5 meters on the Mwache River, it will store 186 million cubic meters of water, irrigate 7,000 hectares, and supply clean water to 1.6 million residents across Kwale, Mombasa, and Kilifi. A game changer in the Coast region

Anchored in the Coast Water Supply Master Plan, Mwache will curb floods, strengthen climate resilience, and generate over 2,500 local jobs, redefining Kenya’s water-security frontier.

KENYA Wildlife Service (KWS) Director Prof. Erustus Kanga has hailed Kenya as a global model in rhino conservation, citing years of relentless commitment and strategic collaboration that have driven a steady rise in rhino populations across the country’s parks and reserves. Speaking during World Rhino Day celebrations, Prof. Kanga praised the nation’s “steadfast dedication, strong partnerships, and tireless protection initiatives,” which he said have transformed Kenya into “a shining exemplar of what determined conservation can achieve.”

He attributed the success to robust anti-poaching measures, expanded ranger capacity, active community involvement, and international cooperation, noting that these efforts have shielded the majestic species from the brink of extinction..

Kenya currently boasts one of the most secure and steadily growing rhino populations on the continent, a feat conservationists say reflects the power of sustained vigilance and cross-border collaboration.
