Shanzu Transitional Workshop for Disabled Young Women Shanzu Transitional Workshop is a program that teaches disabled young women to live independently and utilize their skills to make a life for themselves.

Shanzu Transitional Workshop for Disabled Women is an ongoing project from Kenya Girl Guides Association. Based in Mombasa, we host disabled residents to teach them life and business skills so they can learn to live independently and earn an income. Along with cooking and cleaning for themselves, our residents spend time most days in our workshops perfecting their talents as artisans. Our shop on

site sells their beautifully tailored creations, jewelry, and even a new cosmetic line! We also have camping areas and fire pit available. Kenyan Girl Guides from all over Mombasa and other areas come to use our facilities to have a great camping experience! We are in the process of expanding the project to include new products and services. Check back soon to see what new offers are available!
