The Shimba Hills Forest Guides Association (SHIFOGA) is a group based in Kwale comprising of 30 local youths who have come together to support eco-tourism in the Shimba Hills National Reserve and surrounding area. SHIFOGA aims to actively participate in conservation endeavors within the Shimba Hills eco-system and to highlight the benefits of the natural reserve to the community. Our activities ar

e not only based in tour guiding but also in creation of awareness to our community about the conservation of our environment and sustainable development. We have a school education program, we help community based organizations to create networks, butterfly farming and we recently have a sanitation program ( manning public toilet).
