๐ŸŒ World Environment Day 2026

Looking for a meaningful way to take climate action?

This year's theme, "A Global Call for Climate Action," reminds us that every action counts. By adopting a tree, a colobridge, or a rescued animal through Colobus Conservation, you become part of the solution.

๐ŸŒฑ Sponsor an Indigenous Tree โ€“ Help restore coastal forests and create a greener future.

๐Ÿ’ Adopt a Rescued Animal โ€“ Give injured and orphaned wildlife a second chance.

๐ŸŒ‰ Sponsor a Colobridge for one year โ€“ Help monkeys cross safely above roads, reducing accidents and protecting lives.

Your adoption directly supports wildlife rescue, habitat restoration, conservation education, and the protection of endangered species along Kenya's south coast.

More than an adoption, it's a commitment to a healthier planet, thriving wildlife, and a climate-resilient future.

๐Ÿ’š Be the reason a tree grows, a monkey crosses safely, or a rescued animal gets a second chance.

Adopt today and make your impact last far beyond World Environment Day.

๐ŸŒฟ 191 people have already signed our petition โ€” but we urgently need more voices! ๐ŸŒฟ

The ongoing destruction of trees along the Colobridgeโ€“Beach Road corridor in Diani is putting our environment, wildlife, and the future of our coastal ecosystem at risk. These trees are not just part of the landscape โ€” they provide critical habitat and safe movement corridors for primates like the endangered Angolan colobus monkeys, support biodiversity, reduce heat, prevent soil erosion, and help fight climate change.

Every signature sends a powerful message that the people of Diani and supporters around the world care about protecting our natural heritage. We are calling for an immediate stop to destructive tree cutting, environmentally responsible line-clearance practices, and restoration of damaged habitats.

๐Ÿ’š If you have already signed โ€” thank you!
๐Ÿ“ข Please help us by sharing the petition with your friends, family, visitors, and community networks.

This is a clarion call to help rescue the remaining trees along Diani Beach Road that form the anchors for colobridges, which support monkey crossings. KPLC, in their CSR commitments, pledges to protect wildlife and the environment, yet they continue to cut down these trees without remorse. https://c.org/R8rVzWKY6N Drusillas Park Writer JaGucha

๐Ÿ’š Celebrating Our Volunteers ๐Ÿ’š

For years, volunteers have been at the heart of our conservation journey. From Animal care, forest restoration and primate monitoring to environmental education, community outreach, and supporting events โ€” your dedication has helped make a lasting impact.

Every hour given, every primate attended to, every tree planted, every awareness conversation, and every act of kindness contributes to protecting the incredible wildlife and habitats we work to conserve.

To all our past and present volunteers:
THANK YOU for standing with us, learning with us, and growing with us. Your passion continues to inspire hope for conservation and for future generations. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’

Together, we are making a difference.

๐ŸŒฟ Celebrating Leadership this Labour Day ๐ŸŒฟ

This Labour Day, we take a moment to appreciate not just the work we do, but the people who guide and inspire us every day.
At Colobus Conservation, we are proud to celebrate our General Manager, Nancy Favour, whose dedication, vision, and commitment continue to drive our mission forwardโ€”protecting primates, conserving coastal forests, and uplifting communities.

Your leadership inspires us to do more, care more, and strive for lasting impact. Thank you for your hard work, guidance, and unwavering support to the team.
๐Ÿ’š Today, we celebrate you. Happy Labour Day!

๐ŸŒฟ Did You Know? ๐Ÿ’
This rainy season is the perfect time to plant treesโ€”especially along our rivers. These trees help hold the soil in place, prevent flooding, keep our water clean, and give colobus monkeys and other monkeys food and safe paths to move around.
When trees along rivers are lost, the land washes away, water becomes dirty, and wildlife loses its home.

Planting indigenous trees helps restore our environment, protect our water sources, and support wildlife for future generations.

At Colobus Conservation, you can plant or even gift a tree by donating KES 1,000 towards our conservation work. ๐ŸŒฑ
Letโ€™s plant today to protect our rivers, our wildlife, and our future. ๐Ÿ’š

๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’ ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒ Partnership, Passion, and Purpose: Thank You, Drusillas Park ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŒฟ

Over the past two weeks, we had the pleasure of hosting two incredible volunteers, Sam and Emily, from Drusillas Park

As experienced zookeepers, they brought with them a wealth of knowledge, passion, and hands-on expertise. From supporting our primate care and enrichment activities to sharing skills with our team, their contribution has been truly valuable.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Drusillas Zoo for their continued support. Our partnership has been incredibly impactful, and we are especially grateful for their ongoing fundraising efforts that directly support our conservation work here in Kenya. ๐Ÿ’š

Their dedication to animal welfare and conservation truly inspires us, and we are proud to be working together towards a shared mission.

Karibuni tena,Sam and Emily โ€“ you will always be part of our conservation family! ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿค

๐ŸŒฑ Together for healthier rivers and greener communities!

Yesterday, Colobus Conservation, in collaboration with the local community, POKICOFA, the Ramisi community, the Tunusuru Women's Group , and Kenya forest service, planted trees along the Ramisi River banks.

A total of 4,500 trees were planted, with 1,000 contributed by Colobus Conservation and 3,500 by POKICOFA.

This effort will help restore riverbank habitats, reduce erosion, improve water quality, and create a healthier environment for both people and wildlife.

Thank you to GEF Small Grants Programme for funding our work and to everyone who joined hands to protect the future of the Ramisi River. Together, we are growing a greener tomorrow ๐ŸŒ
