The Girls for Girls Africa Resilience Academy (GARA) is creating a future where mental health, resilience, and economic empowerment work together. Through trauma recovery, art therapy, peer support, emotional intelligence, creative industries training, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, AI for business, employment readiness, leadership development, advocacy, public speaking, and digital resilience, GARA equips individuals with the tools they need to heal, grow, and build sustainable livelihoods.

Because true resilience isn't just about overcoming challenges—it's about having the confidence, skills, and opportunities to create lasting change for yourself and your community.

We were delighted to be part of the launch of the Skills Mtaani programme by the Mombasa County Government in Tononoka, a significant step towards equipping young people with the practical skills they need to access employment opportunities and build sustainable futures.

Collaboration is at the heart of meaningful change. We were delighted to participate in the National Federation Establishment Workshop in Nairobi, organized by needs Kenya where we joined fellow mental health organizations during the Mental Health Organizations' Coalition Forum Workshop.

Together, we explored the path toward establishing a self-regulated federation that will strengthen coordination, promote shared learning, uphold quality standards, and amplify advocacy across Kenya's mental health sector. We believe that by working together, we can create a stronger mental health ecosystem and ensure that quality mental health services reach more individuals, families, and communities across the country.

Therapy is not about forgetting the pain, trauma, or challenges we have faced it is about healing, gaining strength, and creating a future filled with hope and possibility.

We provide simplified access to mental health care through therapy sessions, psychotherapy, mental health literacy trainings, community sensitization, Mobile Therapy Unit outreach, Gumzo Care, and toll-free counseling services. We support adolescents, youth, women, persons with disabilities, survivors, and communities by creating safe spaces where healing, resilience, and growth can flourish.

No one should have to walk their healing journey alone. Together, we can break stigma, promote mental wellness, and ensure that support is accessible to all.

Every step we took was a step toward awareness, inclusion, and hope. 💚👣

We were honored to join the Walk for Possibilities, organized by, Kurunzi Cerebral Palsy Centre, to stand with children living with cerebral palsy and the incredible caregivers who support them every day.

Behind every child is a caregiver whose own mental health matters too. When caregivers receive the emotional support, understanding, and care they need, they are better able to nurture and advocate for their children.

Together, let's continue breaking stigma, promoting inclusion, and reminding every caregiver that they don't have to walk this journey alone. 💚 Because when we care for caregivers, we create more possibilities for every child.
