We are proud to share that Jivunie creatives YOUTH GROUP was honoured to participate in a breakfast meeting earlier last week, that brought together 10 sub-grantees, officials from the Department of Health Services and media stakeholders following the implementation of our activities supported through Stretchers Youth Organization.

The meeting created a valuable space to reflect on our implementation journeys, share key lessons learned, highlight existing gaps affecting young people, and explore practical solutions to strengthen youth-led health interventions.

A key highlight of the discussions was the importance of and grassroots organizations, which are often closest to communities and play a vital role in amplifying youth voices and ensuring interventions respond to real needs on the ground.

We also emphasized the need for joint resource mobilization and stronger collaboration among stakeholders to sustainably support youth-led initiatives and scale impactful community interventions.

Engagements like these continue to strengthen partnerships between youth-led organizations, government, and the media in advancing meaningful adolescent and youth health programming.

We remain committed to championing community-driven solutions and ensuring that young people remain at the center of development conversations.

🌸 Happy International Women’s Day!

Today we join the wolrd to celebrate the strength, courage, and resilience of women everywhere. Women are leaders, changemakers, caregivers, innovators, and dreamers shaping a better future for our communities.

When women rise, communities thrive. When women are empowered, generations are transformed.

Jivunie creatives YOUTH GROUP , we continue to champion equality, amplify women's voices, and create spaces where every girl and woman can live with dignity, opportunity, and freedom.

Themed — we are reminded the spirit of uplifting and supporting one another to grow stronger together.

To every woman and girl: we see you, we hear you, your voice matters, your dreams are valid, and your leadership is powerful 💪

Happy International condoms day 💃

Today, we are reminded that condoms are one of the most effective and accessible tools for prevention. They promote protection, dignity, and informed choices.

Correct and consistent condom use helps prevent HIV, other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and unintended pregnancies.

With young people accounting for a significant share of new HIV infections, it is critical to continue empowering youth with accurate information, access to condoms, and the confidence to make safe choices.

Protection is prevention. Knowledge is power. Choices matter

Last weekend, in line with the , conducted an awareness session themed “Education, Life Pressures and Mental Health at Kaa Chonjo Primary School. The activity sought to promote education beyond the classroom while increasing awareness on mental health and psychosocial wellbeing among adolescents and young people. The session adopted participatory and learner-centered approaches to encourage engagement, sharing, and reflection.

An image-based storytelling activity was used to illustrate mental health challenges and the risks of delaying help-seeking.

This was complemented by myth-and-fact mental health messages, which helped dispel misconceptions, reinforce that seeking help is a sign of strength, and emphasize that mental health challenges are not caused by witchcraft and can be managed with appropriate support. Gender reflections revealed that men are often more affected by mental health challenges due to reluctance to share personal struggles.

Much appreciations to Stretchers Youth Organization for supporting this iniative under the program that's funded by Population Connection

'Investing in young minds for accessible and youth led solutions'

Last Thursday, Jivunie creatives YOUTH GROUP had the privilege of attending the 2nd Annual Child and Adolescent Mental Health Summit.

This important gathering brought together passionate voices committed to shaping better futures for children and young people.

Beyond powerful discussions, the summit also created space to showcase innovative ideas that support mental health and wellbeing.

Our team was able to showcase mat making and bracelets—a creative activity that not only promotes skills but also nurtures relaxation, focus, and emotional expression.

One thing stood out: mental health is not a luxury—it’s a right.

Special thanks to all sponsors and partners for the support towards this noble course

With the support of Stretchers Youth Organization under the MYPOA project, we successfully held a youth workshop last week on Friday.

Young people from across our community came together to learn, share, and challenge stereotypes during our session on Gender, Gender Roles, and Protecting Oneself from STIs.

Through group work, gallery walks, and open discussions, participants explored the realities of gender, how roles shape our daily lives, and the importance of making informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health.

What stood out most : The passion, openness, and courage of young people to speak up, break barriers, and champion healthier futures for themselves and their peers.

Together, we are building a generation that is informed, empowered, and unstoppable.
