From 3rd – 6th April 2026, we meet at the Mombasa Continental Resort, Shanzu, for a full Afro-Latin experience as per this schedule.

Think workshops by top instructors, pool & yacht parties, live music, DJ sessions, and social nights that go till late, real late.

All levels welcome as we shall have beginners & intermediate workshops running side by side.

We are excited to welcome 🇰🇪 to the Mombasa Easter Escapade 2026 where he will be joining us as a DJ.

DJ Ree is a Kenyan Afro-Latin DJ based in the coast. His journey into music is deeply rooted in dance. With over four years of dancing and more than two years of hosting salsa socials, he understands the energy of the floor and what keeps it alive.

His sets move effortlessly between genres, creating a smooth and engaging flow that keeps dancers connected from one track to the next. Whether it’s a social or a party, DJ Ree knows how to read the room and build moments that feel natural, enjoyable, and memorable.

Known for his easy-going style and thoughtful selections, he brings a warm, welcoming energy to every set, keeping people dancing and coming back for more.

is a Kizomba performer and instructor based in Lusaka, specializing in Kiz Fusion—a blend of traditional Kizomba, Urban Kiz, and Tarraxo. His teaching focuses on connection, musicality, and flow, with an emphasis on comfortable, practical social dancing. Micko has taught and performed across Southern Africa, including workshops in Zambia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe, and is known for delivering clear, engaging classes suitable for both intermediate and experienced dancers.

We are excited to welcome 🇺🇬 to the Mombasa Easter Escapade 2026, joining us as an Instructor.

Kiiza is a Ugandan Public Health Practitioner and passionate Afro-Latin dance teacher, performer, and choreographer. As Co-Founder and Director of Uganda’s leading Afro-Latin teaching and events organization, he has played a key role in growing the dance community since 2010, mentoring hundreds of students along the way.

With roots in Hip Hop, Breaking, and Afrohouse, Johnson specializes in Salsa, Bachata, Urban Kiz, and Cuban Salsa. He also teaches Kizomba, Kompa, Brazilian Zouk, and Cha Cha, bringing a unique blend of musicality, technique, and creativity to every class. He has a special liking for bachata and bachata sensual.

Known for his patience and engaging teaching style, Johnson delivers workshops that are energetic, practical, and inspiring.

Val is a founding member of . She has been shaping the dance scene both locally and internationally, inspiring dancers and audiences alike. For Val, dance isn’t just steps, it’s a space to connect, express, grow, and celebrate talent.
