As we approach the commemoration of the upcoming Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 on 28th May, SEYA Youth Organization, together with Public Health Officers, had the privilege of conducting a menstrual hygiene sensitization session with the girls of Kajembe High School.
The session created a safe and interactive space where the students openly discussed menstrual health, hygiene practices, myths and misconceptions surrounding menstruation, self-confidence, and the importance of breaking stigma in our communities. Through meaningful conversations, question-and-answer sessions, and health education, the girls were empowered with accurate information to help them manage their menstrual health with dignity and confidence.
At SEYA, we believe that menstruation should never be a barrier to education, self-esteem, or opportunity. Every girl deserves access to knowledge, support, and a safe environment where she feels heard, respected, and empowered.
We appreciate the dedication of the Public Health Officers, teachers, and students who made the session impactful and engaging. Together, we continue to advocate for menstrual health awareness, dignity, and the wellbeing of adolescent girls in our communities
