Today, in partnership with Junda Dispensary, we conducted a community dialogue at Kilalapwa aimed at creating awareness on the importance of contraceptive use and family planning. Participants engaged in discussions on making informed reproductive health choices, the benefits of family planning and available contraceptive options.

We also highlighted the importance of immunization from birth, emphasizing how vaccines protect children from preventable diseases and the risks associated with defaulting on immunization schedules.

To enhance access to essential health services, contraceptive services were provided during the session. Together, we continue promoting healthier families and stronger communities through health education and service

Today, we joined the Department of Health Mombasa county and other partners in commemorating Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 at Bomu Primary School under the theme “Together for a Period Friendly World.”

The event provided a safe and interactive space for discussions on menstrual hygiene, access to menstrual products and addressing stigma and myths surrounding menstruation among young people. Participants also received demonstrations on the correct use of different menstrual products, promoting proper hygiene, confidence and informed choices.

Menstrual health is a human rights, health, and dignity issue. By creating awareness and encouraging open conversations, we help ensure that no girl misses opportunities because of her period.

Together, we continue to champion menstrual health, dignity and empowerment for all.

At KESCO, we remain committed to advancing climate action and environmental conservation along the Kenyan coast. Through hands-on initiatives like mangrove restoration and other nature-based solutions, we are actively working to protect and restore our fragile coastal ecosystems.
Mangroves are vital because they protect shorelines from erosion, provide breeding grounds for marine life, improve water quality, and act as powerful carbon sinks that help combat climate change. By planting and restoring mangroves, we are not only safeguarding biodiversity but also strengthening the resilience of our communities against climate impacts such as rising sea levels and storms.
Every seed planted is a step toward a greener, healthier and more sustainable future for all.

Today, we joined the Brain Youth Group in a mangrove restoration activity in Junda, where we participated in planting mangroves as part of ongoing efforts to protect and restore our coastal ecosystem.
Mangroves are essential in preventing coastal erosion, supporting marine biodiversity, creating breeding grounds for marine life and absorbing carbon emissions that contribute to climate change. Their restoration is key to building resilient and sustainable coastal communities.
As KESCO, we remain committed to advancing climate action and environmental conservation through youth-led and community-driven initiatives that promote environmental sustainability and collective responsibility for our planet.

In recognition of , we held a powerful session with young people in Junda focused on mental well-being, self-love and emotional resilience.
We explored common mental health challenges such as stress and depression, encouraged self-appreciation and reminded young people that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. The session also highlighted available support systems and safe spaces within the community where young people can access help and guidance.

Creating conversations, breaking stigma and building a generation that prioritizes mental wellness.
