We wrapped up our 4-day Resource Mobilisation Capacity Strengthening Training through the Youth Organized Engaged Project (YOEP), supported by Youth for a Sustainable World (YSW).

Day 4 focused on strengthening our understanding of proposal budgeting, financial sustainability and income-generating activities, while exploring how organisations can diversify their income and reduce overreliance on external funding.

We also explored gender-responsive budgeting, feminist leadership, women’s rights and gender equality, creating space for reflection and meaningful dialogue on building more inclusive organisations and programmes.

Four days of learning, practical exercises and reflection have equipped us with valuable skills to strengthen our organisations, improve our proposals and mobilise resources more effectively.

Day 3 of our Resource Mobilisation Capacity Strengthening Training through the YOEP Project, supported by Youth for a Sustainable World (YSW), took us deeper into practical tools for strengthening our projects and organizations.

We explored the Logical Framework Approach (Logframe), looking at how overall and specific objectives, activities, results, indicators, means of verification, and assumptions come together to support effective project design, monitoring and evaluation. We applied the approach using examples from recent Calls for Proposals.

We also explored the role of public speaking, networking and organisational branding in resource mobilisation, and how effectively communicating our work, building meaningful relationships, and strengthening our organisational identity can open doors to new opportunities.

Another day of learning, connecting and building stronger organizations for greater impact.

Day 2 of our Resource Mobilisation Capacity Strengthening Training through the Youth Organized Engaged Project (YOEP), supported by Youth for a Sustainable World (YSW), was another day of practical learning and reflection.

We began with a recap of Day 1 before diving into analysing Calls for Proposals (CfPs). We looked at key aspects including content, eligibility requirements, partnerships, costs and application procedures, while also analysing the risks and opportunities presented by different funding calls.

We also explored problem and objective analysis, strengthening our understanding of how to clearly identify the problems we seek to address and translate them into realistic, measurable objectives. Along the way, we identified some common mistakes in proposal development and how to avoid them.

Another productive day of building our resource mobilisation and proposal development skills!

Today, through the Youth Organized Engaged Project (YOEP), we kicked off a 4-day Resource Mobilisation Capacity Strengthening Training, supported by Youth for a Sustainable World (YSW).

The training brought together our team alongside youth clubs including Community Ark, Believers and Lend a Voice, creating a valuable space for shared learning and reflection.

We explored the resource mobilisation lifecycle and process, identified the challenges we face in fundraising, reflected on our organisational strengths and gaps, and mapped out existing fundraising opportunities that can help strengthen the sustainability of our work.

A great start to four days of learning, collaboration, and strengthening youth-led organisations.

As part of our continued commitment to environmental conservation, we joined Twende Green Ecocycle and other partners for a beach cleanup activity at Nyali Beach, Mombasa.

Together, we collected plastic waste and other litter while engaging the community on the importance of keeping our beaches clean and protecting our marine ecosystems.

Plastic pollution poses a serious threat to marine life, affecting the health of our oceans and the communities that depend on them. By taking action today, we can help create cleaner beaches, protect biodiversity, and promote a more sustainable future. ♻️💚

Every piece of plastic collected is a step toward a healthier ocean.

Let’s keep our beaches clean. Let’s protect our oceans. Let’s go green!

Help 400 Vulnerable Girls Return to School
We are proud to announce that Kenya SRH Care Organization (KESCO) has officially launched our "Help 400 Vulnerable Girls Return to School" project on GlobalGiving—a trusted global platform connecting community-based organizations with philanthropists, foundations, corporations and development partners committed to creating lasting social impact.
Every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, thrive and achieve her full potential. Yet many vulnerable girls remain out of school due to poverty, limited access to educational resources, menstrual health challenges, gender-based violence and other preventable barriers.
Through this initiative, KESCO will support 400 vulnerable girls by providing:

Learning continues, and so does our commitment to inclusion.

Today's Kenya Sign Language training session brought us one step closer to breaking communication barriers and creating a community where everyone feels seen, heard and valued. Every new sign we learn strengthens our ability to serve the Deaf community and people who are hard of hearing with dignity and respect.
