Yesterday a group of 30 young people dedicated to community development successfully completed the three days training on peer learning and support intervention. The training was centred around online harm, gender and technology. Technology facilitated gender based violence has been of great concern across the globe. This team of change makers were equipped with skills and techniques on how to identify, notice and address around TFGBV. The training is a pilot under the Project Catalyst funded by Christ Church Call and implemented by the Polarization & extremism Research and Innovation Lab (PERIL) based at American University alongside The Project catalyst partners Search for Common Ground,Institute of Strategic Dialogue & Meedan.

This project seeks to target young people in Kenya, Canada and Jordan. At Swahilipot Hub, we believe in a collaborative approach for a collective impact.

These participants are confident to lead constructive dialogues on issues around TFGBV

Strengthening partnerships for greater impact. Today, we hosted an inception meeting between the Swahilipot Hub team and the Mental 360 team to align on project objectives, implementation strategies, timelines, and expected outcomes.

The meeting provided a valuable space for both teams to deepen collaboration, clarify roles and responsibilities, and strengthen coordination mechanisms that will guide effective project delivery. Key priorities were also discussed to ensure alignment and a shared understanding of how the project will be implemented.

This marks an important step toward building a strong working relationship that will drive meaningful outcomes and long-term impact.

*On Saturday 30th May 2026,* Tomorrow, we stop ignoring the question.
We stop laughing it off.
We stop pretending “he’ll be okay.”

*WHERE IS THE BOYCHILD?* is not just a performance.
It’s a mirror.
A cry.
A confrontation.

Expect raw storytelling, music, movement, poetry, emotion and truths many people fear to say out loud.

Yesterday, we brought together key players in the Export Processing Zone (EPZ) sector special economic zones that host export-oriented industries and create thousands of employment opportunities to explore how more young people can access meaningful work.

The convening united EPZ employers, HR Taskforce, factory supervisors, training partners, and stakeholders from Mombasa and Kilifi to discuss practical ways of bridging the gap between skills training and labour market demands.

Conversations centered around apprenticeships, internships, mentorship opportunities, job placement pathways, and inclusive hiring practices that can better prepare young people for the workforce while helping employers access job-ready talent.

The Vijana2Thrive (V2T) Program, a collaborative initiative with the Mastercard Foundation, is implemented by a consortium led by Swahilipot Hub Foundation, the National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK), and the E4Impact Foundation. The program aims to reach 42,900 Opportunity Youth and create pathways to dignified and fulfilling employment for 30,000 young people, with at least 80% being young women.
