Amazing Group of Persons with Disabilities is currently implimenting a project on peace and security in Likoni Sub-County funded by through VOCAL Africa, on Saturday 25th 2026 we had our first community Dialogue at shikaadabu chiefs office in Shonda locations, those present were the Security officers from Inuka police station led by Ocs Jesse Coblo Muoki Madam Hafswa and one lawyer attached to the high Court of Kenya, the participants were first taken through the rights of acused person, they were also given the opportunity to raise their opinions and challenges towards the police and the security they did and the officers responded to their concerns and vowed to work to gather with the community where necessary, the youths were so happy to interact with the police, the Ocs really thanked the donors and requested for more sessions more so during this election nearing period, thanks to VOCAL Africa Hussein Khalid Walid Sketty for ensuring disability inclusion in this project, KCDF Emmylizer Jumah #

Amazing Group of Persons with Disabilities - CBO participated in stakeholder political education-oriented engagements ended on a high, with forums targeting varied representation of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)organized by ORPPKenya
The training focused on how PWds can position and scale up their uptake in political parties leadership and elections,bearing in mind a raft of requirements and prevailing hurdles.

The PWDs were educated on practical means to navigate the competitive political arena. Facilitators imploring on them to actively participate in political and electoral processes while demonstrating their value -add in key processes such voter registration, political engagement, joining political parties as well as increasing in policy advocacy within and beyond political parties leadership.

The PWDs already in elective and political parties leadership were strongly urged to support one another and earnestly pursue the interests of the larger Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

Some of specific topics forming discussions and feedback related to:
* Promoting and advocating for the inclusion of Special Interest Groups in political processes.
* Acting as election observers and monitors to enhance transparency and accountability.
* Supporting peacebuilding and conflict prevention initiatives.
* Disseminating accurate and timely electoral information.
* Countering misinformation, disinformation and hate speech.
* Liaising with stakeholders involved in the electoral process.
* Promoting responsible and ethical use of social media during election period
