COMMEMORATING WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL DAY 2026
This year's exercise was subject to pomp and colour as the kenya Navy team, mixed and interacted with the rest of the community members in beach clean-up at Jomokenyatta public beach.

Upon the end of the exercise, the total number of waste collected was 31 tonnes.

This year theme is: 🌍 “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”

All are invited at Jomokenyatta public beach clean-up which shall kickoff at 8:30am.

This exercise is going to be unique because we are targeting to have special guest from Kenya-Navy, County government of Mombasa and KWS Rangers.

A DATE WITH THE OCEAN
Early in the morning we converged at NYALI BEACH Clean-up with other able stakeholders.

The Chief guest who is also the Mombasa County Environment Chief Officer, graced the occasion urging youths to be in a forefront in environmental conservation initiative telling them the county will always support such an initiative.

Over 1.5 kg of waste collected where our organization focus was on valuable waste for recycling purposes hence avoiding huge chunks of wastes taken to the destinated dumpsite.

PASSING ON THE BATON
Engaging with pupils of PWANI ACADEMY on a beach cleaning mission at pirates beach.

The event manage to collect over 1600 kg of waste thereafter we equipped them with practical training on how to identify valuable waste and how to turn those waste into value through innovation, providing them with right platform of becoming creative as they are still learning in school.

MISSION TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT
Received a boost from the delegation from Water and Sanitation Department of Climate Change, Energy & Natural Resources Mombasa County, lead CGM Madam Emily, Environmental department Kisauni Sub-county officers, mission from CONACCE CHAPLIN GLOBAL COOPERATION and ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.

They come to understand more about waste characteristics in the Ocean ecosystems from production upto management.

We highlighted what our CBO does especially in regard to water conserving the water catchment areas.

They were really impressed by what we do even coming to a point of them assisting us do the great service.

BEACH CLEAN-UP EXERCISE
After the Easter holidays, we did embark on a mission to clean the entire JOMO KENYATTA PUBLIC BEACH.

At the end of the exercise we managed to remove over 7 Tonnes of waste.

We appreciate different stakeholders who showed up and made the event successful.

FACING OUT ILLEGAL DUMPSITE
Early morning exercise saw has manage an illegal dumpsite at Freerton in Katisha area where over 21 tonnes of waste were removed by stakeholders present.

Lead by Freertown ward administrator popularly known as Mama Bombo, whom she officially made an invite to our organization,A.c.c Office, Area Chief, County officials and various C.B.O's who are managing waste from various locations within Freer town ward.

The main message that rented the air was waste management is the responsibility of each and every member of the community.
