Femicide is not just a statistic. Behind every number is a daughter, a sister, a friend whose life was stolen, a family left grieving, dreams cut short, and a community wounded by loss and injustice.

We are done being silent. We are done watching women and girls live in fear.

Join us for the *End Femicide March in Mombasa* as we demand an end to gender-based violence, justice for victims, and safer communities for everyone.

📅 *Date*: 22nd May 2026
🕘 *Time*: 9:00 AM
📍 *Starting Point*: Pembe za Ndovu, Mombasa
✊ *Theme*: End Violence | Support Survivors | Build Safer Communities

This is a peaceful march. Come with your voice, your placard, and your commitment to change. Bring your friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors. Men and women stand together because this affects all of us.

Let’s show Mombasa and Kenya that we refuse to normalize the killing of women and girls. Together, we can end femicide.

Share this message. Show up. Be the change.

Will you be marching with us on the 22nd May?

Today, we had the opportunity to attend a significant meeting with the County Government at the Governor's residence, which was convened by the Governor himself this afternoon. The meeting was also graced by the presence of Kilifi County Commissioner David Simiyu, who played a pivotal role in facilitating the discussions. We were joined by a diverse group of stakeholders, including the County secretariat, Departmental CECs, chief officers, representatives from the National Drought Management Authority (NDMA), and the Kenya Red Cross.

The primary objective of the meeting was to reinvigorate our collective response to the ongoing drought, which has been waving a devastating impact on our community. We engaged in a comprehensive and consultative dialogue, sharing insights and expertise to chart a unified course of action. The discussions were fruitful, and we have resolved to establish a Multi-Agency Coordination team, which will bring together representatives from the National Government, County Government, CSOs, and humanitarian partners.

This team will be responsible for conducting weekly situation reviews, coordinating interventions, and expediting key mitigation measures. Specifically, we will focus on mobilizing and distributing relief food to vulnerable households, ensuring that those most in need receive the support they require. The drought situation remains grave, and it's imperative that we act with urgency, unity, and decisiveness to mitigate its effects.

As a collective, we are resolute in our commitment to protecting lives, safeguarding livelihoods, and ensuring that no family in Kilifi is left behind. We recognize the enormity of the challenge ahead, but we are confident that through our combined efforts, we can make a meaningful difference. I am heartened by the spirit of cooperation and collaboration that defined today's meeting, and I look forward to working together to address this pressing issue.

The OPMMM Health Department is pleased to invite all members of the community to a special Baraza event scheduled to take place on February 4th at the Chief's Office in Mtondia. This significant gathering is being held in commemoration of WORLD CANCER DAY, and we are excited to launch two flagship projects: HEALTH POA MTAANI, a health initiative aimed at promoting wellness and cancer prevention, and MKULIMA MWENYI, an agriculture project focused on empowering farmers and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.

This year's theme, "HARVESTING HEALTH; PROMOTING SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE FOR CANCER PREVENTION," highlights the critical link between healthy living, sustainable agriculture, and cancer prevention. Through a diverse range of activities, we aim to educate, raise awareness, and inspire action on the importance of adopting healthy lifestyles and sustainable agricultural practices in preventing cancer.

The event will feature a range of informative and engaging sessions, including:

1. Financial Literacy: Empowering individuals with essential financial skills and knowledge to improve their economic well-being.
2. Agriculture Talk on Safe Agricultural Practices: Exploring sustainable and safe agricultural methods that promote health and prevent cancer.
3. Cancer Talk and Awareness: Expert insights on cancer prevention, treatment, and management.
4. SGBV Cases Related to Cancer: Addressing the often-overlooked intersection of cancer and gender-based violence.
5. Peace and Security: Fostering a culture of peace, security, and community cohesion.

We believe that this event will provide a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and community engagement. Your participation will contribute to the success of this important initiative. We look forward to seeing you there.

Earlier today our CEO joined her fellow youths of Mombasa County's Inauguration Ceremony and launch of the MOMBASA YOUTHS COUNCIL where they took their oath as they assume office in their respective offices and departments. As youths, we are so happy witnessing this moment where youths are on the forefront to fight for and advocate for Youths Spaces, Opportunities and Inclusion in Leadership Spaces.

A leader ain't just someone who is at the front of the line. He's the one who leads others while they climb. Speaks with Purpose, Moves with Grace, Leaves a legacy that no time can erase it. It's not just power.

A leader inspires others to follow in his wake and hold in a loft and the touch of wisdom. A leader leads the way for the society to realise his genuinely great aspirations.

As a youth led organization, we believe that we the youths are the leaders of today and not tomorrow and this is the time to take action. As we head towards campaign and election period, we would like to urge all our fellow youths from across the Country to take this opportunity and register as voters.

They had a fruitful engagement as they were able to discuss issues affecting the team, the fans and how to improve and strengthen our teams A (of 25 players) and team B (of 18 players) and look into how we are going to continue creating platforms for our players as we push them to County, Regional and National platforms in Kenya. As we wrapped up our meeting, they held a prayer for our 5 footballers who were selected to play for KILIFI COUNTY ALL STARS as they had a final match today against KILIFI ACK ST.
