Our team engaged women in communities around Porro and Lpartuk, Samburu County, through impactful training on table banking, financial empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods.

Women were also supported through the distribution of Wheels of Change water containers, helping ease the burden of water collection, alongside lessos as a symbol of dignity and empowerment.

When women are empowered, families and communities thrive.

Clean cooking brings dignity, health and opportunity to millions of women across Kenya and Africa. When women switch from using smoky fuels to clean energy, their families thrive — health improves, time is saved and livelihoods are strengthened. Across our communities, women are taking action: they are organising, financing solutions and leading this transformation from the ground up.

At Joyful Women Organisation, we believe that this shift is not only possible, but also necessary. Clean cooking addresses women’s empowerment, environmental care and stronger households directly. When women lead, change happens — and spreads.

We convened in Nairobi for the High-Level Meeting on the Pan-African Coalition for Universal Access to Clean Cooking, bringing together partners and champions to accelerate a united, scalable solution for Africa.
