We are incredibly grateful to have facilitated the recent Gender Mainstreaming Workshop with the amazing team at PACIDA, Kenya in Marsabit.
It’s inspiring to see an organization go beyond simply disseminating a Gender Policy and instead invest in deep, organization-wide learning. PACIDA’s initiative to train all staff reflects a strong commitment to integrating gender perspectives into every aspect of their programming. This step will no doubt strengthen both impact and inclusivity.
Over the two days, we explored practical approaches to ensure that the needs, concerns, and experiences of women, men, boys, and girls - an their intersectionality - are equitably considered, truly living up to the spirit of leave no one behind.
Kudos to PACIDA for aligning their work with national and international frameworks like the Constitution of Kenya (Article 27), Vision 2030, the Gender Policy (2019), CEDAW, SDGs, and the Maputo Protocol.
