💛 At Shearise Initiative, we rise for every girl. 💛

We proudly stand with the newly launched My Dear Daughter campaign- Kenya.
An initiative dedicated to ending ;
✓FGM,
✓Child marriage, and
✓All harmful practices that rob girls of their dignity, health, and future.

This movement is not just timely.
It is necessary.
It is urgent.
It is ours to champion.

FGM and child marriage are not “rites of passage.”

👉They are violations.

And we believe that every girl deserves the right to grow into womanhood ;
✓Safely,
✓Educated,
✓Empowered, and
✓Free.

Our commitment at Shearise:
✔️ To amplify survivor voices
✔️ To advocate for safe, empowered girlhoods
✔️ To support community education and transformation
✔️ To stand with mothers, fathers, leaders, and every Kenyan who believes our daughters deserve better

Ending FGM is not a women’s issue alone.
It is a community issue, a national issue, a generation-shaping issue.

Today, we join hands with the My Dear Daughter initiative because when we protect a girl, we protect a family.
And when a girl rises, a nation rises.

Let us be loud.
Let us be present.
Let us be unshakeable in our stand.

We'll celebrate her today, tomorrow and every other day till she Rises

Inline with this year's theme( 2025)

“The Girl That I Am”

This is her voice;

I am the girl who dreams big.
The girl who has stumbled, but always stood back up.
The girl who is more than what the world expects of her.

I am the girl who is bold enough to speak,
soft enough to feel,
strong enough to rise,
and wise enough to lead.

Today, Tomorrow , Everyday,
I celebrate the girl that I am

Unapologetic.
Courageous.
Becoming.

To every girl out there:

➡️Your dreams are valid.
➡️Your presence is powerful.👇

Just the other day, the world celebrated the girl child.

📌 Theme: “The Girl That I Am”
But beyond celebration, today is a call to action.

Because the girl child still faces too many battles ;
🚫 Early marriage
🚫 Limited access to education
🚫 Gender-based violence
🚫 Period poverty
🚫 Silencing of her voice and her dreams
🚫 Harmful cultural practices (FGM)

Yet in the face of these challenges,
➡️She rises — every day,
➡️Often silently,
➡️Often alone.

It is for that reason 'She Arise Initiative ' came to my mind.
An initiative dedicated to,
➡️Empowering girls to
✔️Reclaim their voice,
✔️Rise above limiting circumstances, and
✔️Step into their full potential.

💡 She Arise exists to:
✔️Equip girls with life skills,mentorship, and
leadership training
✔️Create safe spaces for self-discovery and growth
✔️Advocate for equal opportunities in education and beyond

📌 The girl that I am — and the girls I work with — are more than statistics.

We are leaders in the making, barriers breaking, and futures rewriting.

As we mark the International Day of the Girl Child, let’s not just celebrate but ;
➡️ let’s act.
➡️Let’s invest in girls.
➡️Let’s listen to girls.
➡️Let’s believe in girls.

Because;
