Hofogi Term 2 Update

Term 2 officially began on 10th May 2026, and our girls returned to school energized, focused, and ready to continue their educational journey. Since reopening, a great deal of progress has taken place at Hofogi.

To create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for learning, the school premises and classrooms were thoroughly cleaned and organized. Additional beds were also provided to ensure the girls enjoy a more comfortable and conducive living space.

Our dedicated teachers and staff have already shared and aligned on the Term 2 work plan to ensure all school programmes and activities run smoothly and effectively. We are pleased to report that lessons are ongoing successfully, and everything is progressing according to plan.

As we move forward, we look forward to strengthening engagement with parents and guardians, working together to improve school performance and support the continued growth and prosperity of Hofogi.

Together, we continue empowering young women through education, care, and opportunity. 💙

Our first cookout in the new Hofogi kitchen 🔥
What better way to bring a new space to life than by filling it with people, laughter, and great food? Our very first cookout in the new kitchen was exactly what we hoped for ,warm, welcoming, and full of connection.

Our girls shared recepies and they decided to make Samosa.It was inspirering to see them teach each other step by step and the final result was delicious.This moment marked the beginning of something special .
The new kitchen isn’t just about cooking, it’s about creating experiences and making everyone feel at home.

This first term has been a whirlwind of activity, but our girls are showing incredible strength. As they sit down for their end term exams, we celebrate their effort, resilience, and focus. As this term closes, we look ahead with excitement to May, ready to continue with full power.

After two years of waiting, hoping, and planning… we are beyond excited to share that the construction of our new classrooms has officially begun .

The foundation of the new school is now underway — and for the first time, we can see the progress taking shape. What once was a vision is now becoming reality, step by step.

This milestone would not have been possible without the incredible support from our crowdfunding campaign last year in partnership with . Because of you, we were able to kickstart this project and begin laying the foundation for a brighter future.

Our Founder & President , , was on the ground for five weeks, witnessing and actively taking part in the beginning of this journey. It was a truly blessed time — not only seeing the first stages of construction, but also spending meaningful moments with the girls, overseeing the daily operations of hofogi, and connecting with corporates, companies, and potential partners for future collaborations.Thank you Mama❤️

Another productive week at the Hofogi Center ✨

Alongside our regular tailoring classes, we hosted a session with the girls at the Nyiri Club. Veronica guided them through creating email accounts and shared notes for the theory lesson, laying the groundwork for upcoming practical sessions.

We also had Mr. James facilitate a financial literacy class, equipping the girls with essential skills to manage their finances when running a business.

We’re excited to build on this momentum in the weeks ahead!

Today, we held an orientation session for our new recruits, bringing together continuing students, newly admitted students, and HOFOGI staff as one community. 🤝

The session began with introductions, followed by an overview of life at HOFOGI our activities, values, and expectations. We then officially welcomed our new girls into the institution, marking the start of an exciting new chapter. ✨

Hofogi is starting the year with purpose .This week Hillary and the Girls started preparing our corn garden for the new seedlings and setting the foundation for a productive season ahead.

This is more than farming. It’s agribusiness in action: planning, soil preparation, resource management, and long-term thinking. As we look forward to the harvest, Teacher James is also building practical entrepreneurship skills that support sustainability and growth.

When the harvest comes, it will play a major role in strengthening our feeding program and ensuring consistent support for the girls at our center.

Happy New Year 2026 from Hofogi🎉 As we step into 2026, we’re reflecting on 2025 a year full of hope, growth and Blessings.

2025 was a remarkable year for Hofogi. Our students are eagerly awaiting their NITA exams results, with hearts full of hope and expectations 🙏. We’re confident in their abilities and can’t wait to celebrate their achievements!

We invested in our future by upgrading facilities - new sewing machines 🚀 are ready to empower our students‘ creativity, our kitchen is transformed to enhance catering courses 🍴, and renovations created a more conducive learning environment .

We also had the honor of hosting visitors from Switzerland 🇨🇭, who brought inspiring stories and strengthened our partnerships. And guess what? We’re opening our doors wider in 2026, eagerly expecting more visitors and collaborations that’ll take Hofogi to greater heights.🌍

As we begin 2026, we’re praying it’s another year of hope, progress, and blessings for Hofogi and our amazing students . May our students continue to shine, and our community grows stronger.

🎨 Creative Moments at Nyiri Club 💫

Today’s session at the Nyiri Club was full of color, creativity, and connection! The girls had an amazing time tracing, drawing, and painting — their energy was simply inspiring. 💕🖌️

Beyond the art, we had heartfelt conversations where they openly shared their thoughts on different matters within the club. It was beautiful to see them express themselves so confidently. 🌟

We can’t wait for more sessions like this!

Farewell, Vivian! 🇨🇭💐
Last week was full of meaningful moments, and one of the most special was saying goodbye to our amazing volunteer, Vivian Graf.

After three incredible weeks with us, Vivian headed back to Switzerland . On Thursday, we held a small farewell ceremony where the girls and the entire Hofogi family shared their love and appreciation for her. ❤️

Vivian’s presence left a lasting impact — from her kindness to her dedication — and we’re so grateful for the time we shared.

We already miss her and can’t wait to welcome her back someday! 💫
