This April 9, 2026 we will witness not just a groundbreaking but a declaration.

The Ubuntu Village is not just a space being built; it is a bold statement of who we are and what we believe in. A living, breathing testament that communities, when organised and unapologetic, can design their own futures.
From just a handful of centers to a powerful movement, the Social Justice Centers Working Group continues to prove that justice is not an abstract idea - it is something we build, brick by brick, story by story, struggle by struggle.

Ubuntu Village stands for dignity. For resistance. For healing. For people reclaiming power where it has long been denied.

This is not charity. This is not symbolism. This is infrastructure for justice. This is a renewed commitment: that our communities will not wait to be saved - we will build, organise, and rise

Our Energy. Our Voice.

Siaya is not an experiment. It’s home. It’s our farms, our lake, our children’s future. Yet decisions about a nuclear power plant are being pushed forward without the full, honest conversation the people of Siaya deserve.

Energy development should never come at the cost of community consent, environmental safety, and transparency. We are not anti-development — we are pro-people, pro-environment, and pro-accountability.

If our land, water, and lives are on the line, then our voices must be at the center of the decision.

No project of this magnitude should move forward without:
• Full public participation
• Transparent environmental assessments
• Respect for community concerns

Siaya deserves clean, safe, and sustainable energy solutions — not rushed decisions made far from the people who will live with the consequences.

Listen to the people. ✊🏾
