UNESCO’s Transforming MEN’talities initiative is amplifying the voices of men and boys across Eastern Africa who are standing up against gender-based violence—both offline and in digital spaces.

The statistics are a call to action: with 90% of students in Kenya witnessing tech-facilitated GBV, the role of men as allies has never been more critical. Through powerful visual storytelling, this initiative showcases men who are redefining masculinity through the lens of dignity, justice, and respect.

Join the conversation and see how we can build a safer, more equitable society together. 🤝✨

Postpartum b1eeding (called lochia) surprises many new moms — and it’s completely normal.

💡 Lochia isn’t just bl00d. It’s a mix of:
• bl00d
• mucus
• uterine tissue left from pregnancy

👉 It happens because the uterus is shedding and healing after the placenta detaches.

📌 What to expect:
• Heaviest in the first 3–4 days
• Becomes lighter and pink/brown after the first week
• Can last 4–6 weeks, sometimes longer

⚠️ B1eeding can momentarily increase when:
• bre.astfeeding (due to oxytocin contractions)
• standing up after sitting or lying down
• being physically active too soon

⛔ What’s NOT normal:
• soaking a pad in under an hour
• foul smell
• large clots
• fever or severe pain
→ In those cases, medical help is important.

🌸 Postpartum b1eeding isn’t a sign of weakness — it’s a sign of healing.
