Yesterday, Uzury joined Environmental Action Alliance and other community stakeholders to commemorate World Wildlife Day through meaningful action by planting trees at the Kinyaritha Water Catchment in Meru County.
Protecting wildlife starts with protecting their habitats. By restoring our water catchment areas, we are safeguarding biodiversity, strengthening climate resilience, and securing clean water for our communities.

Alongside fellow CSOs from Meru and Isiolo Counties, Uzury participated in the Agenda Setting Meeting under the TUNU Project, contributing to discussions on a citizen-centered accountability report dubbed People’s Audit under the Okoa Uchumi Campaign.
This report spotlights the gaps, systemic ills and challenges within our public finance, debt and governance systems.It reflects Uzury's core belief that real change begins with evidence-based advocacy,where data and community voices guide accountability, influence policy and ensure that public resources serve our community.

To mark the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Ge***al Mutilation, Uzury stood in solidarity with girls, women, survivors, County government of Meru, community stakeholders and advocates with an aim to end harmful cultural practices.
