Happy Katiba Week!!!

Katiba Day 2025 is happening today 27th August, let’s reflect and delve into Article 38 of our Constitution, a cornerstone of Kenyan democracy. This right is not just about voting; it's a bundle of three fundamental political rights:

The right to vote: To elect representatives of your choice in regular, free, and fair elections.

The right to be a candidate: To stand for public office, subject to the laws of the land, and if elected, to hold office.

The right to participate: This includes the freedom to form, join, and campaign for a political party, and to participate in peaceful assemblies and demonstrations.

This article ensures that government power derives from the will of the people. An informed and active citizenry is the best guardian of our democracy.

and stand for the dignity of every human life.

Every person deserves to live, to be protected, and to thrive. No one should be denied this right unjustly.
