Following our August seminars and a one-week break, the team came together for a two-day monthly staff planning meeting. The meeting provided an opportunity to review progress, align departmental activities, address pending tasks, and set clear priorities for the month ahead.

We attended the graduation of 236 girls who attended the Alternative Rite of Passage to Female Ge***al Mutilation in Mutuati at Naathu Ward, Igembe North,Meru County. These girls attended a six day session where they were taken through the Ameru Culture and History of FGM. The alternative rite of passage, academic exellence, Early marriages and teenage pregnancy amomng other topics. The last Day the girls walked in the streets withplacards , branded Tshirts and Banner, dancing and signing to send the message out against FGM

The Girls for Leaders program brought together girls from different cohorts for a powerful sharing and mentorship session with the current Cohort 4.

Sharon Makena, a Cohort 1 alumna from Katheri Girls High School, together with Linet Gacheri from Kanjalu High School and Precious Mwende from MCK Kiutine St. Mark Junior School, both from Cohort 3, shared their educational experiences, achievements, challenges, lessons, and personal growth.

For Cohort 4, it was an opportunity to hear directly from girls who have already walked parts of the journey, ask questions, learn from their experiences, and gain inspiration for their own future.
