In the remote parts of Isiolo County, many adolescent girls have limited access to information about menstrual hygiene and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).

This lack of information contributes to challenges such as missing school due to menstruation, teenage pregnancies, and early marriages, which interrupt girls’ education and limit their opportunities for a brighter future.

Through our engagements with adolescent girls, CIFORD Kenya helps them understand their bodies, care for their health, and make informed choices without fear or shame.

SUCCESS STORY: PRISCA KENDI

Meet Prisca Kendi, a young mother from the Maburua Young Mothers Group who is transforming her life through skills acquired at CIFORD Ann Down Vocational Training Centre.

Through training in Fashion and Design, Prisca now makes clothes for herself and her children while attracting potential customers. She also started poultry farming with just 3 chicks and has grown her flock to 11 chickens, providing eggs for her family.

At CIFORD Kenya, we believe that equipping young mothers with practical skills creates opportunities for better livelihoods and a brighter future.
