📢 Empowering Voices, Driving Change: Dialogue at Meru Slopes Hotel
On 17th May 2024, FIDA Kenya, in collaboration with Rural Community Development Agency and Meru Society, hosted a thought-provoking dialogue on critical gender issues at the prestigious Meru Slopes Hotel. This event brought together a diverse array of stakeholders, activists, policymakers, and community leaders to engage in constructive discussions and chart a path toward a more equitable society.
The dialogue focused on three crucial pillars:
: Examining the barriers and challenges women face in attaining leadership roles across various sectors and exploring strategies to promote inclusive and diverse leadership.
: Raising awareness about the devastating impact of gender-based violence, sharing survivor stories, and advocating for comprehensive support systems and legal reforms to protect and empower survivors.
& : Highlighting the vital role of women in governance and decision-making processes and emphasizing the importance of their equal representation in shaping policies that affect their lives.
Thought-provoking panel discussions, interactive workshops, and powerful testimonials ignited a much-needed conversation on these pressing issues. Participants had the opportunity to share their experiences, perspectives, and innovative solutions, fostering a collaborative environment for collective action.
