🚨 Calling all Storytellers! Let’s protect the mind behind the medal. 🚨
Does the media pressure fuel youth anxiety? Today, we bring the storytellers to the table. 🎙️🧠⚽️

YIDP is convening a Global Technical Dialogue on the role of the media in nurturing resilience. We’re joined by Elijah Ouko (NTV), William Njunguna (The Star), and Boniface Odhiambo (KUTV&RS) to discuss how we can create a "Narrative Shield" for our young champions.

🏉 Mental health doesn't belong in a clinic. It belongs in your gym bag.

“If you want to win on the scoreboard, you have to first win in the mind. Our tools must be practical, non-clinical, and ready for the pitch.” - Oduor Nyang' Oduor, DBA AFRICA. 👟🧠💪🏾

During our first Virtual Roundtable, the retired pro-rugby player and Mental Health Coach at DBA Africa issued a challenge to every coach in Africa: Stop commanding and start connecting.

In this clip, Leeon explains why we must break the "Infrastructure of Silence." From using local dialects in story circles to rotating captaincy to fight player isolation, Leeon is redefining what it means to be a "Tough" coach.

It’s time to move from a culture of suffering in silence to a culture of Resilience through Safety.

No psychological safety? No accreditation.

"Sport is not a luxury; it is a fundamental human right and protection is its prerequisite." - Hugue Ngandeu, UNESCO.

During our first Virtual Roundtable, the Unit Head of Social and Human Sciences at UNESCO Regional Office for Eastern Africa issued a historic mandate for the African Arena.

In this clip, Hugue explains why we must move toward a “Labeling & Accreditation Process.” The goal is simple but bold: No sports program or school in Africa should be considered compliant unless it meets verified psychosocial safety standards.

With the UNESCO "Fit for Life" framework, we are bridging the gap between global policy and the grassroots pitch.

🛑 STOP treating our children like "Financial Tickets.

“The glory of 10 years on the pitch should not lead to 30 years of a troubled life.”- Dr. Pamela Kaithuru.⚽️🧠

During our first Virtual Roundtable, the President of ISSUP Kenya Chapter issued a powerful wake-up call to Africa. We see the talent, we see the speed, but are we seeing the "Invisible Injury"?

In this video, Dr. Pamela explains why we must move from building stadiums to building Sanctuaries of Resilience. To save the champion, we MUST first save the child. ✊🏾💚

Watch, listen, and share. Let’s break the Infrastructure of Silence together! 📈✨
