Maji Moto Community Forest Association was registered in 2009 with the register of societies as per the Forest Act 2005 that calls for communities’ participation in conservation issues. The association operates within Kisumu West District in Maseno division, North West Kisumu Location. The Association currently works with eight organized Community groups spread out in Kisumu West District. Over th

e years, the Association that started as a self help group has been promoting tree planting as a measure of improving the general status of our environment. The main purpose of the Association is to promote, support and further initiatives that promote conservation of the environment and poverty reduction initiatives that enhance livelihood and resilience of the people of Kisumu West District.
