Check out the new Jemo House building project and the Pad Project! WHAT WE DO
Jemo House: The Jemo House is the home we have created for 10 joyful children in Maseno, Kenya who have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS. The house also employs two full time house mothers to provide the safety, discipline, and love that all kids deserve. We also strive to keep children with their families whenever possible, so
we sponsor the basic needs and schooling of 2 other children in the community. Pad Project: The second branch of TLC is the Pad Project which makes washable, re-usable maxi pads for girls and women in impoverished areas of Kenya. A primary school teacher approached us and instead of asking for paper and pencils, asked for sanitary pads. The girls would have to stay home from school while menstruating because they weren't able to afford pads. These same young girls, desperate for the opportunities an education provides, would exchange s*x for the payment of pads. We now have groups all over the United States sewing reusable pad kits that are now being distributed and changing the lives of girls all over the world.
