Hello, our church in Lela Maseno has been supporting orphans from the areas surrounding our village for several years now. Our families have been blessed by reaching out to those in need, and this has been helping our community grow. Recently we reached out to the local
government to hear what is needed to receive government aid in Kenya so we can open a school for them here, so we have been building a facility to use for classes and meetings. Recently we were able to buy land not far from Lela to also grow food for the children we support, and we are happy to report that they are doing well with the crops we have been able to grow. We still need donations though to make this a sustainable project, which will also help the orphans to have plenty of food throughout their school days. It is a good thing to have a meal with your lessons! We cannot unfortunately send food or money outside of our local area, since our goal is supporting those without parents here. We hope by reaching out to people like you here on Facebook, that we can give these children a solid foundation for their lives here around Lake Victoria. We thank you in advance for sharing and perhaps sending contributions to us to help with these projects. We believe in the story told by Jesus in Matthew 25:31-46 , that helping people in need in while we are living here as believers in Jesus, will give eternal rewards in the life to come. :-)
