Yesterday we celebrated International Women’s Day in Kajiado County under the Paraan – Koimugul Indigenous Women Network.
It was a powerful moment to honor the resilience, courage, and strength of indigenous women in our communities. We came together to celebrate our voices, our culture, and our commitment to empowering women and girls.
Together we continue to stand strong, support one another, and work towards a future where indigenous women are recognized, respect and empowered.

Today we joined the Endorois women in Mogotio to celebrate International Women’s Day
Under the theme “Rights, Justice and Action,” we came together to amplify the voices of Indigenous women, share our experiences, and strengthen our collective call for equality, recognition, and protection of our rights.
It was a powerful moment of solidarity, learning, and empowerment as women stood together to advocate for justice and meaningful action in our communities.

Benevolent Gratitudes

To everyone who gathered, believed, spoke, sang, organized, supported, and stood with us at the launch of the NAAPU Indigenous Women Fund — thank you. You did not just attend the launch; you breathed life into a dream.

Together, we turned hope into action, whispers into declaration, and a long term vision into a living promise. What was once an idea carried in resilience now stands tall because of your presence and partnership.

Together, we made a dream count. The journey has only begun.Once again THANKYOU!!

Koimugul Indigenous Women Network is privileged to participate in the East Africa Human Rights Program (EAHRP) taking place from 31st January to 14th February.
This program aims to promote universal respect for human rights by strengthening the capacity of human rights educators and defenders across East Africa. Through this engagement, we are enhancing our knowledge, skills, and networks to better advocate for the rights of Indigenous women and communities.
Our participation reflects our continued commitment to advancing human rights, social justice, and the empowerment of Indigenous women, ensuring their voices are heard, protected, and respected at all levels.
