Repairs here and there.. its long since we did some face lifting to children rooms. The rooms look really bad, beds are broken
mattresses need a change as well as the blankets.

As much as Children need education, their other needs such as a clean environment needs to be taken care of, maintaining healthy standards promote the well being of children.

We are looking forward to provide our children with disability a clean and safe environment and a place they call home.

We are at our third day of training at SHERP. We appreciate the partnership of EDUKANS, PERSONS of influence and the MOE. (Directorate of policy and partnership)

Lakira primary school has benefitted from this initiative and we are currently doing gutters, repair of concrete tanks and intalling more water tanks. We are looking forward for a school greening program as soon as rains start.

We are also taking care of our children who have not gone home for mid -term as well as those who have no homes to go to. SHERP strives to change the narrative of how children with disability are supported.

SHERP is committed to advocate for the rights of Children with disability.

Lost and found child. An unknown child approximately 9 years was found by well wishers around maralal vicinity.

The child was reported as lost to the police station and later taken to springs of hope children centre and then to SHERP children centre.

On our quick assessment the child is AUTISTIC but needs further screening to establish his condition.

He is safely in SHERP opposite the Catholic cathedral. Anyone who knows his parents to notify them ASAP so that we link the child back to the family.

There is a trend within Samburu whereby children with severe mental disabilities are not cared for by family and even the community at large.

Please let's safeguard these children because they are part of us and part of the community
SHERP will always advise on the best placement for your child.

Congratulations to our two hearing impaired teenage boys, Rash Lempei and Ntome Ledonyo.
From herds boys to candidates, they can read and use standard sign language.

Wishing them the best as they proceed to grade 7 next year *junior secondary.

We dreamt 20 years ago and the dream has come to pass 100s of children with disability have accessed education through our intense awareness and support over the years. Many are now working and independent adults..yes indeed disability is not inability.

Stand with SHERP and help by bringing forth more children to access education.

Seneiya special school is one of SHERP's biggest achievement...

"SHERP will build an institution that will spearhead initiatives for educating children with disability "... this has been achieved 100%, we encourage collaborations that are positive and not those that discriminate, the right of ALL children with disability to Education.

To our new Headteacher madam Reginah keep it up...and we look upon you as a community of SHERP to uphold and sustain our dream so that together we achieve the best for the children.

SHERP is a public charity whose commitment is to support children with disability.
