Eco-youth Initiative:Who we are-the short version;)

Eco-youth Initiative was conceptualized on 14th February 2017. We are a network/movement by the youth that aims at taking action geared towards achievement of the 17 SDG’s. The idea was inspired by a need in the community for youth participation in the development of a sustainable global community. In an article by thwink.org on sustainability, it is explained that most organisations tackling the problem of sustainability including UNEP,WTO,EPA,OECD all deal with just one aspect of sustainability. To us, this approach leaves a void, such that an aspect may be neglected while others given too much attention.

“No powerful international organization is working on the sustainability problem as a whole which would include all three pillars-environment, social and economic”

Eco-youth Initiative may not be able to solve global sustainability issues(for now) but we are committed to improving livelihoods of local communities in Kenya
