This April holiday, we're providing daily meals, care and support at our center to children in Kibera six times a week, Monday through Saturday so they stay nourished, active and supported.

What do you think makes a strong support system for a child?

At Project Elimu, we see it everyday, it's not just programs, and it's not just the child. It's a connection between safe spaces, consistent support and the families behind them.

This week, we welcomed parents back into the space. A moment to share, listen, and reconnect around the journeys their children are on through dance, skating, art and learning.

Because when parents are included in the process, the impact goes further. Children don't just participate, they grow, thrive and belong.

600 meals daily. 29, 353 total meals served. 553 Christmas lunches shared❤️💚🤍

Because of your support during our Nov-Dec Holiday Feeding program, the plates were never empty. Children showed up everyday with hope and left with full bellies and the energy to dream.

But here's what we need you to know:

January has arrived, and with it, the hardest reality we face. We fell short of our annual food program target, and we're running low on funds right when children need us most. Without consistent support, meals get reduced, attendance drops, and the gap is felt immediately by the 600+ children who depend on this program to thrive.

We don't want to scale back. We don't want to turn anyone away.

But we can't do this alone. The same generosity that filled plates during the holidays? We need it now, not just once, but consistently throughout the year.
