Mandera County Deserves Proven, Visionary Leadership – Support Eng. Mumad for Governor
Mandera stands at a turning point. As we face both major challenges and real opportunities, we must ask: who is best prepared to lead us forward?
Eng. Mumad is not just a name – he’s a record. A record of dedicated public service, leadership grounded in experience, and a deep, consistent commitment to the people of Kenya, especially Mandera County.
A Career of Purpose and Results
As Kenya’s Ambassador to Egypt, Algeria, and Tunisia during President Moi’s administration, Eng. Mumad didn’t just represent our country—he advanced our interests. These weren’t symbolic posts. They demanded diplomatic skill, strategic thinking, and a strong sense of national duty. His work strengthened Kenya’s relationships in North Africa and showcased his ability to operate on the global stage.
A Trusted Technocrat
Back home, Eng. Mumad was appointed Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs under then Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka. He later held the same role at the Ministry of Roads. In both positions, he helped shape key policies and oversaw major infrastructure projects that modernized Kenya’s road networks—efforts that continue to benefit communities across the country today.
A Grounded and Effective Legislator
Eng. Mumad later turned to elective leadership, serving two terms as MP for Mandera West. His time in Parliament was marked by a strong focus on development, advocacy for marginalized communities, and meaningful results. As Assistant Minister for Energy, he worked to expand energy access in underserved regions, including Northeastern Kenya.
Most recently, as Senator for Mandera, he brought national attention to local issues—fighting for fair resource distribution, accountability, and stronger devolution. His voice in the Senate was consistent and clear: Mandera deserves better, and he was ready to fight for it.
Why Eng. Mumad is the Leader Mandera Needs Now
We need a governor with national policy experience and deep local roots. Someone who has managed crises, delivered development, and earned trust across political divides. Eng. Mumad fits that description.
Mandera still faces serious challenges—insecurity, economic stagnation, and infrastructure gaps. We cannot afford guesswork. We need a leader who already understands the job and has the network and experience to get things done.
This is not about politics as usual. It’s about choosing someone who’s proven he can serve, and lead, with results.
Let’s back a leader whose legacy is already visible. Let’s support Eng. Mumad as the next Governor of Mandera County.
The time is now. The choice is clear. Let’s move forward—together. # ReclaimingMandera's lostGlory.
