🤲 A Du’a to Recite When Feeding Orphans on Friday

“O Allah, on this blessed day, accept this food as a means of mercy for the orphan, purification for my wealth, and a light in my grave. Join me with the Prophet ﷺ in Paradise as he promised for those who care for orphans. Ameen.”

⭐ The Special Virtue of Giving on Friday

This day multiplies the reward of all good deeds:

· The best day: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday.”
· Charity is greater on Friday: Giving charity on this day carries special blessings. One narration states, “Charity given during the day of Jumu’ah is greater (in reward) than any other day.”

By combining the act of feeding an orphan on this best of days, you unite a highly virtuous deed with a highly virtuous time, multiplying the reward and spiritual benefit.

The sacrifice isn’t about the meat or blood—it’s about your intention and sincerity.
· It teaches you to let go of worldly attachments and submit fully to Allah, just as Prophet Ibrahim (AS) was willing to sacrifice his son.
· This ensures even the most vulnerable in the community get to eat meat during Eid, fostering brotherhood and generosity.

“And have you seen the water that you drink? Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down? If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful?” — Qur’an, Surah Al-Waqi’ah (56:68-70)

“...so that We may give life thereby to a dead land, and give it as drink to those We created of numerous livestock and men.” — Qur’an, Surah Al-Furqan (25:49)
