Isiolo Women Against Sexual & Gender Violence Through our current campaign, "Usawa na Haki Sasa!", we are reaching out to all. Our activities include:
1.

This is a platform for IWASBV, a community based CBO involved in the fight against FGM, SGBV, teen pregnancies and all causes of inequality that affect the Female Gender. Sensitization and awareness creation on FGM,SGBV and all forms of injustice against the female gender
2. Promoting education among girls by encouraging/supporting girls, especially those who have experienced GBV
3. Providing psyc

ho-social support to affected girls/women in any of the SGBV incidences
4. Connect victims of SGBV to entities where they can get legal redress
5. Educate girls and Women on their rights provided under the law through legal clinics and seminars/webinars
6. Promote education of young girls and their development through mentorship
7. Engage the young boys and girls through debates, drama and competition to increase awaress on gender equality and sensitivity

As we are excited to have participated in an insightful panel discussion today on the sustainability of grassroots women’s rights organizations beyond the WOMEN's Voice and Leadership-Kenya project!

We explored key strategies for financial sustainability, strategic planning, and capacity strengthening.

We discussed the importance of diversifying funding sources, the role of partnerships, and the power of non-financial incentives to retain and motivate staff.

Our reporting mechanisms, which provide real-time data from the grassroots, have been critical in enhancing program effectiveness, while structured capacity-building initiatives have strengthened our team for the future.

Grateful for this opportunity to share and learn as we continue building resilient organizations for lasting impact!

We are privileged to join the Women Rights Organizations who were part of the Women Voice and Leadership project support by CARE Canada CARE-International Kenya Centre for Rights Education and Awareness (CREAW) among other partners.

This project enabled us to implement our first project as an organisation and it has helped in amplifying our work with women in in eradicating all forms of Sexual and Gender Violence in our community.
