Dear Esteemed Members,
RE: RESIGNATION FROM THE POSITION OF YOUTH CHAIRPERSON – LOKIRIAMA YOUTH ORGANISATION
I hereby formally tender my resignation from the position of Youth Chairperson of the Lokiriama Youth Organisation (LYO), effective 3th/August/2026.
This decision has been necessitated by new commitments that require my full attention and availability. Having considered the demands of these commitments alongside the responsibilities of the position, I believe it is appropriate to step aside and allow the Organisation to continue under new leadership.
It has been a great honour and privilege to lead LYO. During my tenure, I endeavoured to promote inclusivity, unity, education, patriotism and responsible youth leadership. I consistently encouraged our youth to take their studies seriously, embrace personal development and uphold the spirit of “Lokiriama Kwanza.” I also cautioned against allowing political differences to divide us, reminding the youth that our common identity and the interests of Lokiriama must always come first.
I am particularly grateful for the cordial working relationship I enjoyed with the local leadership, who gave me their full support, respect and the necessary autonomy to effectively lead and manage the affairs of our youth. I am equally humbled by the recognition, support, respect and encouragement I received from our community at all levels and in all aspects throughout my tenure. This made my service both meaningful and fulfilling.
As I step down, I wish to emphasise that I am leaving the position, not the community. I remain committed to Lokiriama and will continue to support and contribute to the wellbeing and development of our community whenever circumstances permit.
I urge the youth to remain united, disciplined, patriotic and focused on education, personal development and community advancement. Let us continue to uphold Lokiriama Kwanza and ...
