Yesterday, ISRAID held a training at the Faulu Productions Centre for women on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention, protection, and awareness.the session provided a safe space for women to learn about their rights, protection, available support, and ways to respond to and prevent GBV in their communities. At Faulu Productions, we believe that empowering women with knowledge, confidence, and access to support is an important step toward safer and stronger communities.

Last year, Faulu Productions had the privilege of hosting volunteers from Australia who supported healthcare activities in both Kakuma Refugee Camp and the surrounding host community. Their experience was about more than volunteering. It was about learning from local health workers, understanding the realities of healthcare in a refugee setting, and building meaningful connections with the community.
We believe responsible volunteering should be built on respect, partnership and learning from local knowledge.

Our journey with permaculture in Kakuma Refugee Camp began in 2018, starting with home and community gardens. What began as a small effort to help families grow food has continued to grow into a vision for a greener, more resilient Kakuma. In an environment where water is scarce, rainfall is unpredictable, and the climate is harsh, growing food sustainably is a challenge,but it is also an opportunity to transform the way communities live and produce food.

Today, we are expanding this work through demonstration gardens where we grow vegetables and watermelon, plant fruit trees, improve soil health, and share practical knowledge with the community. We are not only planting gardens we are planting resilience, restoring our environment, strengthening food security, and showing that even in the harshest conditions, communities can create green and sustainable futures.

Through our weekly caregiver training, conducted in partnership with Humanity and Inclusion (HI), we are strengthening the knowledge and skills of caregivers to better support children with different needs and abilities. The sessions focus on practical approaches to inclusive care, child development, communication, protection, and creating safe and supportive environments where every child can participate and learn.
For us, training caregivers is not simply about gaining knowledge it is about changing how children are understood and supported every day.

When caregivers are empowered, children are given a stronger foundation for their future.
Together, we are building a more inclusive community where every child matters and no child is left behind.

This past Saturday, Faulu Productions had the pleasure of celebrating the graduation of our Amala Changemaker Course and ICT Basic Class learners in Kakuma. This was more than a graduation ceremony. It was a celebration of young people gaining knowledge, discovering their potential, and preparing themselves to become active contributors to their communities. Through the Amala Changemaker Course, learners explored leadership, creativity, teamwork, problem solving, communication and how they can turn ideas into positive action in their communities. Through our ICT Basic Class, learners gained essential digital skills that can open doors to education, employment, entrepreneurship and greater participation in the digital world.

For us, every graduate represents a story of possibility. In a refugee community where opportunities can be limited, creating spaces to learn and develop skills can make a lasting difference. We are proud of our graduates and grateful to everyone who continues to believe in the potential of refugee youth and communities.
They came to learn. They leave ready to create change. Congratulations to all our graduates.

Today we had a great harvest at our community garden in Kakuma.We harvested watermelons that our community has been growing with a lot of patience and hard work. Seeing the fruits of this effort is very encouraging for our team and the families involved. For us, the garden is not only about growing food. It is about learning, creating opportunities, improving food security, and showing what communities can achieve when they work together. We are proud of this small but meaningful achievement and excited for what comes next. More planting, more learning, and hopefully an even bigger harvest.

Last Saturday, Faulu Productions proudly celebrated the graduation of Cohort 6 of our Arts, Dance and Movement Therapy Program, implemented in partnership with Cheza Cheza.
This program goes beyond dance it creates a safe space where young refugees can heal, express themselves, build confidence, strengthen emotional well-being, and develop leadership skills through movement and creativity. Over the course of the program, participants embraced teamwork, resilience, self-expression, and personal growth. They leave as empowered young leaders, ready to use art and movement to inspire positive change in their communities.
We are deeply grateful to Cheza Cheza for their partnership and shared commitment to using dance and creative expression as powerful tools for healing, inclusion, and transformation.

Congratulations to all our Cohort 6 graduates. Your creativity, courage, and determination continue to inspire us. Keep shining, keep creating, and keep moving forward.

Our little preschool stars are taking their Term Two exams, and our hearts are overflowing with pride.Watching them sit with such confidence, curiosity, and courage fills us with so much joy. These precious children, many of whom were born in the heart of Kakuma Refugee Camp, are growing, learning, and shining brighter every single day.
We celebrate every small effort, every determined smile, and every brave step forward. May these little ones continue to blossom with grace, confidence, and endless possibilities.At Faulu Productions, we believe every child deserves the chance to dream, learn, and rise no matter where their journey began.Thank you to everyone who continues to support these young dreams. Together, we are nurturing a brighter future, one child at a time.

Learning Beyond the Classroom,today was a truly special day for 30 children from our Tahirih Preschool. For the first time, they stepped into our demonstration garden for a hands-on learning experience that brought their curiosity to life.
Many of these children were born and raised in Kakuma Refugee Camp. For them, fruits like mangoes, papayas, guavas, and oranges had only existed on a plate they had never seen the trees they grow on, touched fresh vegetables in the soil, or watched how seeds become food.
Today, their eyes sparkled with wonder as they touched leaves, explored fruit trees, and learned how food is planted and cared for. Their smiles, questions, and pure excitement reminded us that real education goes far beyond books it is about experiencing the world with our own eyes and hands.

This is only the beginning. Every week, new groups of preschool children will visit the garden to learn about nature, planting, caring for crops, and protecting our environment.
At Faulu Productions, we believe every child no matter where they were born or the challenges they face deserves the chance to learn through experience, to dream bigger, and to grow with hope.
We are not just planting seeds in the soil. We are planting seeds of knowledge, confidence, resilience, and a brighter future.

Today, we had the great honour of welcoming Desmond Pag, CEO and Founder of COHERE, together with his dedicated team,It was a deeply meaningful visit filled with reflection, gratitude, and renewed hope. We shared progress on our joint initiatives and witnessed firsthand the beautiful impact of our partnership on refugee and host communities.
This collaboration goes far beyond projects it is a shared commitment to restoring dignity, opening doors of opportunity, and building lasting change. Every child learning in our classrooms, every woman gaining skills and confidence, and every young person discovering their potential reminds us of what is possible when compassion meets action.
We are sincerely grateful to Desmond and the entire COHERE team for their unwavering trust, support, and belief in the resilience and potential of refugee communities. Together, we are not only providing services, we are nurturing hope and creating pathways to a brighter future.
