On May 27th, 16 girls lost their lives in a dormitory fire at Utumishi Girls Academy in Nakuru County, Kenya. 79 more students were injured.

To the families, students, and staff of Utumishi Girls Academy. We see you. We grieve with you. You are not alone.

Girls deserve to be safe where they sleep and safe where they learn. That is the work we commit to in their memory.

Safe to sleep. Safe to learn. Safe to rise.

Before most of the world has started the day, she is already walking.
Not for sport.
Not by choice.
But because water is far and school will not wait.

In Turkana, girls walk long distances every day to fetch water.
It is not a chore. It is a barrier.
To learning. To rest. To childhood.

But still, she walks.
Because hope walks too.

When water gets closer, so does her future.
And when you walk with her, everything begins to change.
