Habari everyone,

We received an update recently from Pastor Mary, they purchased firewood with our most recent donation. I have shared before that fire is how all the cooking, cleaning and washing occurs so firewood is simply essential to the daily survival of BOC. She has sent through some photos which I attached.

We received school reports from our high school students which is wonderful and she has expressed her gratitude for the donations we have received to sponsor these children through high school. Higher education is expensive in Kenya and we simply would not be able to afford to continuing supporting them without your generosity - if anyone is in a position to donate towards schooling please reach out to us.

Asante sana

Habari everyone,

We hope this email finds you well, wherever you are in the world!
We wanted to update you all to tell you that our four high school girls received sponsorship to start their final years of high school. Lulu, Joyce, Mercy and May would not have been able to finish their schooling without Kumbuka project support. Melanie and Reuben Herndanez, the Was family, Peter and Louise Goodwin and Timothy Keating have contributed large donations to make sure these girls can continue with their education. School fees for the final years in Kenya are expensive (approx. $400USD per child per year) as they are expected to pay for board, uniforms, books, transport, exams, medical examinations, enrolment fees etc. as you can see in some of the receipts attached. We would not have been able to send them, without the incredible generosity of the people mentioned above. Photos of the girls in their new uniforms are attached.

We are still supporting BOC with a monthly donation to help with food, repairs in the house, access to clean water, medical expenses for the 40 children who live in the home etc. We continue to need your support, if you can donate at any time, it would be greatly appreciative. No amount is too small and every single dollar goes directly to the children's home in Kenya. Please reach out if you can help.

Asante sana

May almighty God bless you, your family and All donors, we are very grateful for the work you do for BOC to feed these God's angels, educate and maintain good health for them.
I owe you an apology for the delay in sending an up date on how we spent November and December Donation. Please see attached receipts and photos. We renovated one class which had potholes as you can see in photos.

Habari everyone,

We received another update from Pastor Mary last week. Our donations were spent on essentials such as sugar, rice, detergent and soap. As well as an outing for all the children during their school holidays, she has sent receipts and some photos.

There is also a beautiful photo of four of our high school girls- entirely funded by Kumbuka donations. Lulu, Joyce, Mercy and May are below. They passed their grade 8 exams and are looking for funding support to continue with high school.
Please reach out if you are able to support their education and their futures.

Asante sana for your continued generosity and support for all the children at BOC orphanage.

Habari everyone!

We wanted to quickly share with you some photos Pastor Mary sent of our BOC high school students!

These girls and Newton are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue their secondary education in Kenya. As we know, education is of paramount importance for future employment opportunities and will lead to these guys being able to support themselves in the future.

We wouldn't be able to support these guys without your generosity so asante sana.
